I set my book down as I heard the doorbell ring. Since I came to the Earthen Realms a few months ago, most of the food was horrible compared to the fae’s, but I found a few things that were alright. For example, what was waiting outside my door. I got up and opened the door. The Subway delivery man stood outside.

“Meatball sub and barbeque chips?” He asked me. I nodded and handed him the money.

“Thanks!” I called after him as he left. I sat back down on the couch with my dinner and turned on some music for background noise. My phone suddenly rang. I answered right away.

“Hey Lace!” It was Silver, my best friend.

“Hey Silver, what’s up?” She didn’t call me often, so it was usually important when she did.

“Well, there’s a release party for season 8 of Doctor Who going on later tonight. Want to come with me?” I gasped.

“Of course I do! Why would you even ask me that? You know I’ve been waiting forever for this! What time?” I had to go to this!

“6 o’clock at the community center. Hope you can make it!” I laughed.

“I wouldn’t miss it for the world! See you later tonight!” She hung up. I checked the time. 5:24. I didn’t have much time to get ready.

I quickly finished my dinner and went to my bedroom. I only had one Doctor Who shirt, so it would have to do. I changed and checked the time again. 5:33. I needed to pick up Silver, since she currently didn’t have a car, and she lived on the other side of town. If we wanted to get there on time, I needed to leave right away. I walked outside and started up my car, then pulled out of the driveway. My house, a small cabin on the edge of town, wasn’t much, really, but it was all I needed.

After about ten minutes, I reached Silver’s house. Her house was much bigger,

and creamy white with light blue trim. Silver walked out as I pulled into her long drive.

She was slightly better dressed then myself, with a skirt and Doctor Who tanktop. She got

into the passenger’s seat and instantly started talking as we left.

“This party is going to be so much fun! I can’t wait!” I knew exactly how she felt. Silver got me hooked on the show as I met her, a few days after I was sent here. We had been waiting for season 8 ever since. We got to the community center a few minutes before the party started, lucky enough to find a parking space near the entrance.

As soon as we walked in, we were surrounded by fans in Doctor Who costumes. Silver walked off to go talk to some others, and I looked around. I talked to some people I knew, but I don’t know many people yet. I got to the food table and grabbed a brownie. Brownies were all right. Someone walked up behind me.

“You like brownies?” They asked. I turned around to see who it was, and gasped. He was standing behind me.

“Reagan.” I whispered.
