The Lifeguard

" Jenna, you are coming and that's final!" My mother was currently telling me that I had no choice but to move with her and my dad to South Carolina. " Yeah. No. That's not happening, sorry mom." There was no way in hell that I was leaving Washington, to move across the country for some stupid job promotion.

I have been living in Washington my whole life and going to school in the same district, with the same people. I have built a reputation for myself as the bad, yet sweet, and mysterious-edgy girl. I was so looking forward to my senior year here, but now its all gone my whole life gone.

" Honey, its for the best. I know you don't want to leave your friends and school, but you will definitely make lots of new friends in South Carolina.' Yeah right.

" Why does dad even need the promotion? We're already loaded anyways." That was true. My mom is a nurse, but is deciding to stop working for a while since my dad just got the major promotion. My dad is a lawyer and not to brag or anything; but he is one of the best in the country. His promotion is basically an opportunity to move to a new office and get a ton more cases to work on.

" Jenna! You know I hate it when you talk about our wealth like that. Just because we are in a good place with money right now, doesn't mean we shouldn't still be working hard to keep us that way."

" Whatever mom, I still don't want to move! Oh and I heard that the school I would be going to is a total dump. Full of druggies and thugs. Do you really want your only daughter to be going to a school like that?" That was a total lie. Actually I'm pretty sure its one of the best schools in South Carolina.

" Jenna, don't even try that. Cosgrove High is a superb school. I cant believe you thought you could pull that lie off. Do you really think your father and I would send you too a bad school?" Maybe.

" I know, I just really don't want to go!"

" Well sorry hun, but its happening. I hope your finished packing, the flight leaves at 6:00am tomorrow. Please get a good nights sleep, we all know how you can be if you don't." That is true.

" Okay goodnight"

" Goodnight"

I guess I just lost the battle. Now I have to go prepare myself for hell.

Hey!! This is my first time ever writing a story on Wattpad! This is obviously not the best, but I think it has a very strong plot! I hope you enjoyed this little snapshot of the story!
