Chapter One
Isabella Marie Swan

Today marks a new chapter in my life I guess you could say. My mom got remarried to a minor league baseball player, named Phil and practically told me to give them some time alone. I'm only 17 and I can't live on my own so that gives me no choice but to move to the most gloomy looking town in Washington, Forks to live with my father.

As i'm walking towards the boarding gate, I turn and take a look around. I'll miss it here for the time being, but I can always come back if need be. When I get on the plane I sit in my seat and start to read my favorite book, Wuthering Heights.

I wake up to the the pilot of the plane telling us to return our seats to their original position and to buckle up.

I get out of the seat and grab my carry on backpack, walking out of the plane. I walk to baggage claim and get my stuff then walk to the exit of the airport. I see Charlie, my dad, standing there so I walk over to him.

"Hey dad." I say when I get to him.

"Hey Bells." He replies giving me a short hug. We walk to the cruiser and get in after putting my luggage into the back. We then start our three and a half hour drive to La Push.

When we arrive in La Push, it takes us about 5 minutes to reach our house. It's a small house, only one story but it's enough for me and Charlie. I get out of the car, looking around at the scenery.

While Forks is gloomy and has never ending rain, when it isn't raining the view is kinda nice. The forest looks mysterious yet full of adventures while the sunset is bright and colorful.

I walk into the house, with my suitcases in tow. I barely had any clothes just a couple pairs of jean pants, one pair of shorts, and many t-shirts. One of my suitcases was actually filled with drawing pads and books. I walk towards the room that I remember was mine from when I was younger. I look around at the furniture that now replaces my old bed and cases of toys. There was a small twin bed with a black cover on it.

The was a desk in the corner with a laptop on it and the same rocking chair that was once my mom's was sitting by the window. A large bookshelf sitting next to the closet door and had books i've never read.

"Bells we're going to a bonfire tonight. Be ready by 7." My dad says from the door.

"Okay. I think i'll take a nap." I reply, laying down on my bed.
