I lay behind the rocks watching the stars glitter moving my tail side to side in the water. Tonight seems very uneventful. I let out a long sigh and turn away but as soon as I do... I see someone, I move along the rocks letting my skin drag across the coarse salty earth looking, trying to get a better look at them. Probably another stupid boy roaming on the beach. I laugh to myself. Stupid boys so naive so what's the word?.. Ahh incompetent. I watch their shadow moving slowly across the beach waiting for them to step into the light. But its not a boy. They step into the soft moonlight.. Its a girl! Her long brown hair flowing like silk yet clinging to her wet body. And the moonlight seems to make her shimmer like she could dull the stars.... I shake my head. No ha what am I thinking its just a human. Her green eyes stare out at the water they glint with excitement and fear and joy. So many emotions. Who is she? I move along the rocks watching her. She sits down her knees pulled to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. She digs her toes into the wet cold sand. I watch her face, search it...she seems so...so happy so content. She seems.. different. Let's see.
I start in a low hum.
"Hmm hmm m mm m mm"
I open my mouth letting the notes dance threw the cool night air. Swirling on the wind to the girl.
"Ahhh ah ahah ah"
She looks confused for a moment but I continue the tune. She looks over in my direction searching with those green so green eyes. I let the notes string threw the air and watch her as I sing. She stands...slowly lifting herself off the ground and begins to walk in my direction still unsure of what she's looking for. I lick my lips and continue singing. Mmm I've never had a girl before. I drag myself onto the sand and watch my tail turn into legs. A long pair of tanned legs. I stand up and move out from behind the rocks singing the last note of my song. We make eye contact and I see her shiver...but so do I. We look at each other as the note still hangs in the air. I look at her. Her high cheek bones her full lips. I use my arm to cover my breasts and cross my legs.
"Hello."
I smile at her trying not to expose my sharp grin yet. She blushes and looks down at her feet.
"Uhh hello" she says quietly
"Umm here its kinda cold out."
She picks up her towel and tosses it to me. Still looking away. I put it around my body and it drapes down like a dress half down my thighs.
She looks at me...in the eyes that never happens huh..
"Was that you?"
I tilt my head at her.
"Was what me?"
She seems nervous haha as she should be.
"The singing."
I make a face like I'm thinking.
"Yes haha that was me. I'm sorry did I disturb you?" I smile at her.
"No!" She looks at me shocked.
"It was beautiful, uhh I kinda wish you hadn't have stopped"
I see a faint pink flush her cheeks and she looks down at her feet.
"Oh well thank you."
I walk towards her slowly and quiet.
When she looks up im inches from her. I brush the hair from her face and lean down by her ear.
"You wanna know something?"
I feel her shiver as my breath hits her skin.
"Your beautiful."
I pull away and look her in her eyes.
She seems confused but there's a faint smile spreading across her lips.
"Thank you, I guess ha."
My hand rests on her face and I slowly let it slide onto her neck tracing her jawline out to the edge of her chin tilting her head ever so slightly up.
Her face wavers just for a second. I lean in slowly I close my eyes and I can smell her. So sweet like cherry blossom maybe? I feel her breath on my face soft and quick. Our lips barely meet like a whisper and shes gone.
I open my eyes and she has backed away from me looking confused.
"What's wrong?" I ask looking at her face searching her expression. This has never happened no human can withstand a sirens song...
"I don't know you."
She seems upset.
"We just met and I don't even know your name." She rubs the back of her neck and looks down.
"I have too go..."
She turns to walk away what the fuck am I doing I could kill her right now spell or not. I watch her walk away well there goes my dinner. I watch her until she disappears into the shadows she never even looked back...not once. I sit on the beach looking out at the water. Then I feel someone close...
"Well sister?"
My sister comes out from behind the rocks where I was earlier. She's expecting a meal but I have none.
"No humans came tonight."
I lie. I look past her intense yellow eyes her eyes are like my mothers and fathers. Our mother is a siren and my father is a demon lover or an incubus.
But me...my eyes are a pale green my sister used to tease me saying I have human eyes. "Hmm that's odd. You always tempt someone."
She looks at me suspiciously and I can feel her hard stare on my face as I look out at the sea.
"I'm sorry June. I guess I just didn't sing loud enough."
I sigh.
"Okay, well come on let's go tell mother maybe she has one for us."
I nod and lift myself up off the sand.
...
When we get to the cove I swim up to the rocky beach and drag myself onto the land next to my sister.
"June."
She looks at me.
"Yes?"
"Is it possible for a human to resist a siren?"
"Haha!" She burst out laughing. "Why would you ask such a stupid question?" She smiles to herself and stands up and walks towards the opening of our cave. I sigh and stand to follow her.
I still have the girls towel. Its wet now but it still smells like her...cherry blossom. I don't even go see my family I go straight down the hall to my room. On the outside our home looks like a cave but its a mansion on the inside. I walk down the marble hall way to my room and i go over too my closet and pull out a big shirt. I slip it on and hang up the towel on the doorknob.
I walk over to my bed feeling the black plush carpet on my feet. And lay in my bed pulling my dark blue blanket up to my chin and curl up under it. I let out a long sigh and close my eyes. But when I do I see her face. I can still feel the whisper of her lips on mine just barely they brushed each other. I can still see her green eyes like emeralds. Why am I seeing her? I begin to dream. 'I pull her warm body against mine looking into her eyes and smiling at her beauty. Her shape fits perfectly with mine, her skin is so soft against me. I hold her my hands on the small of her back. Ahh my hands fit perfect there, I start kissing her neck slow and soft. She sighs and tilts her head back a smile spreading across her face. I trail her neck with my tongue slowly, and smile when feel Her begin to tremble. Mmm my mouth starts to water and I hold her tighter. Her skin tastes so good I can't stop myself,my teeth extend into sharp daggers and I grab her hair pulling her head back. She moans but it turns into a scream as I sink my teeth slowly into her shoulder.
