I walked through the hallway of my high school. On the outside, it looked crappy. On the inside, it looked beyond crappy. Not to mention the crap that happened there. Yeah, bullying was a problem, but every school has that. So many people here smoke pot, they don't even care anymore. Some people here offer the teachers pot. Rust covers almost every square inch of any metal in here. The food probably isn't even food. I pack. Almost nobody buys. And those who do soon learn their lesson. A short guy walked by me and brushed my shoulder. He grabbed my hand then knocked my math binder out of my hand. He turned to me and winked, then mouthed, " Sorry. " I punched him in the shoulder. " Fuck you. " I said. " Oh, sass, " He said, " I like that. " He leaned over and picked up my binder, then held it out to me. I took it and hit in the head with it. " Go screw yourself. " He took the hint and walked away. I realized the hall way was almost empty. I looked at the clock. First period had started 5 minutes ago. I had been later. I walked into Mr. Bitchain's room. He taught science. Yes, that was his name. He always said it was pronounced 'Bite-chain' but most people called him Mr. Bitch. " So, Jeighlyn, you think you just walk in five minutes late, do you? " He asked. " Yep. " He attempted some sort of facial expression. " Excuse me? " He asked. " You heard me. I wouldn't have even come in if it was up to me. There's a reason people call you Mr. Bitch. " " It's Bitchain! " He yelled. His face turned red. " Whatever you say. " I walked to the back of the room and plopped down in my seat. I grinned to myself. I loved pissing off my teachers. Mr. BItch wasn't the only bitch around here. I stared at the carvings on the desk. A lot of them were inappropiate. A lot of them were put there by me, too. I tapped my fingers on the desk. Mr. Bitch began to mumble soem scientific crap, so I zoned out. I stared out a window.A thin layer of pale grey clouds covered the sky. People weren't really into the go-green stuff here. Litter and concrete was everywhere. A small patch of dry dirt lay in front of the school. Their attempt at a garden. The closest they ever got o a garden was dirt and weeds. I could see a thin trail of cloud going down the sky. No. Not cloud. Smoke. Dark grey smoke. What the... 45 minutes later, the class was dismissed. "Jeighlyn, come and see me. " I turned and walked to Mr. Bitch. " Do you have anything you wish to say to me? " He asked. " Nope. " He turned red again. " Leave. Go to your next class. " " With pleasure. " i said, then bowed. I walked out of the room. The rest of the day went by with me staring out into space in the back of the room. I took the bus home. I could still faintly see the line of dark smoke. The bus came to my stop. i got off and went to my house. I threw my school crap on the porch and went to my back yard. There's woods behing our back yard. The grey line led down to there. But now, something else was rising. A pillar of fresher smoke was rising. It blew in my face. My throat turned dry, but I didn't cough. The smoke was scentless. I ran into the woods. They aren't very thick. At the edge. But slowly, they got darker and thicker. After a few minutes, I saw something. A large sleek ship, with pointed nose and two capsules extending from the side loomed before me. A small fire was burning on it. One side was bashed in. A weird glowing green liquid was dripping down one side. I stepped forward and ran my hand through it. I could feel waves of heat coming from the fire. I pulled away. The glowing goop stuck to my hand. I wiped it on my jeans. Something growled. I turned around. I was confused. Something stood before me. It was something, but it was also nothing.
