"Charlie?"

"Mark please just go." I turned around and face away from him. I hear small footsteps behind me and then a pair of arms around my waist. He sways me back and forth before turning me around and placing his forehead against mine. He then lifts me up and places me on my bed before kissing slowly down my neck to my chest. I grew incredibly nervous as he trailed down, but it was comforting in a way.

"Charlie, charlie, charlie, CHARLIE!"

I open my eyes wide, and I was still in the shower. I heard a banging on the door and just stand up and turn off the water, it ran cold. I grab a towel and open the door to a really nervous mother.

"Charlie are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine why?"

"You've been in the shower for an hour. I was calling out to you to let you know that I'm going off to work but you didn't answer."

"I'm sorry."

"We're you asleep in there?"

"No, I was just having a bit of a hard time washing my hair." Wow that was a terrible lie.

"Well don't fall asleep in the shower."

"I promise I won't."

"Good. Well I'm off now, I won't see you till around 10 I believe."

"Good-bye."

She then leaves and I just look behind me to see my clothes on the counter, where I left them. I must have fallen asleep in the shower.

*three hours later*

I was in my room trying to catch some sleep, but no luck. I tossed and turned for hours but I just couldn't sleep.

*doorbell rings*

I grumble and slip out of bed slowly as the doorbell keeps ringing. I hope this person goes away fast because I need my sleep.

I grab the door knob into my hand and turn it, slowly dreading as to who it could possibly be.

"Hey Charlie." My eyes widen in surprise, Mark?

"Why are you here? I thought you were upset with me."

"I was, but I'm not letting you go that easily." Mark says as he walks into my house.

"Why?"

"Because I want you."

"Why?"

"Are we playing 20 questions here?"

"Mark, right now I'm really tired and I'm having a hard time sleeping so can you please go."

"I'll help you sleep." He said with a smile.

"No way pretty boy, you are no going near my bed."

"C'mon there's no fun in that."

"No."

"Fine. I'll just sit here and talk with you then."

"No. Get out."

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm not going that easy."

"Just go." I was tired and I wasn't having any of these games that he plays or going in circles.

"Mark, please just go, I don't not want you here."

"You seem tense, let me give you something that might help you out." Mark then pulls out a small plastic baggy of a couple of pills.

"No."

"They're just sleeping pills. I use them after a crazy night of.. fighting. Takes the edge off."

"I said no, my mother forbid any drugs in this house, and I'm not breaking that one."

"Okay suit yourself, but never say I didn't try to help." Mark then puts the pills back into his pocket and just sits into the couch in the corner of my living room.

"Now tell me, why are you hiding from me?"

Mark has been here for about an hour now and there is no sign of him leaving soon, so more small talk.

"Do you mind getting me more water Charlie?"

"Umm okay, sure." I get up and go to the kitchen to fill out Mark's glass of water, but I don't know. Something seems off about it. As soon as I filled the glass I returned back to the living room and set the glass down next to Mark. Everything looked normal.

*About 30 minutes later*

"Well I think you should get going Mark, I'm finally yawning."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. Nice arguing with you and all, but sleep sounds nice. So I think that- you should- go." I couldn't stop yawning.

Mark and I both get up and I guide him to the door, but I don't really remember much after that, it became blurry.

Mark

"Goo-" Charlie then falls over and I believe she's knocked out. These past 10 minutes she's been sleepy, so it worked. I'm just surprised she didn't think the water didn't taste nasty. I pick up Charlotte bridal style and carry her upstairs. I go around the entire floor to find her room and the last room I looked in was her's so yay I found it. I place her on her bed and tuck her in as she's still asleep. When I tuck her in I slowly pull away and just try to walk away but then "Mark?", was said before I left. I turn around and see the sleeping beauty slightly awake.

"Come here please." I walk over to her and wait for her to tell me what she wants.

"Thanks for not leaving me on the floor."

"Not a problem Charlotte."

"Can you lay with me?"

"I think I should go."

"No, lay with me for five minutes and then I'll let you leave."

"You sure?"

"Yeah." She gives me a sleepy smile and so I took off my shoes and crawled into her bed. I lay down next to her and she just pulls me in close. She wraps her arms around my frame and I didn't know what to do, so I put my arm around her gently. I laid there for five minutes but she was fast asleep and I didn't know if she would wake up or not. I decided to stay here with here until she demands me to go home. Give her a bit of a hard time before I leave.
