"Almost bedtime, squirt." I reminded him as I plopped down next to him. The movie he was watching has already ended and the credits were rolling on. "What do you want to do until your bedtime?"

"Play the piano?" he said in a hopeful voice.

"Aha. A guy after my own heart." I cooed, chuckling a little. "Sure, let's go. Lead the way, future Mozart 2.0!"

He chuckled softly as he turned off the TV and stood up from the couch. I followed him to the mini piano that they had and watch him take a sit on the little bench in front of the piano.

"Still remember the chords?" I asked.

He nodded, his hands already poised on the first chord, ready to play. I smiled and then gestured the 'go on and play' sign to him.

He started playing the song and I listened intently as he tried hitting the notes which he did but he lacked a confidence as if he was unsure of whether he would hit them perfectly.

"You're an amazing piano teacher." a voice suddenly interruped my critique.

Surprised, I jumped a little. I turned to my right and saw Echo leaning against the wall.

"And you scared the crap out of me." I accused and quickly noticed my slip up, gasping a little as I cover my mouth guiltily and looked at Cole to see if he had heard.

He laughed. "Language, Missy."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, creep."

"Why am I a creep?" he wondered out loud, still chuckling.

"Well, you always speak and appear out of nowhere." I explained. "You're like a ninja. But a creepy one."

He raised his eyebrows. "You mean a handsome one."

"Yea. Okay. If you say so." I appeased.

"Hey!"

"What's up hello." I sang goofily making him laugh again. His laugh. I love it. It makes me smile like an idiot.

"It's a no for me." he said in a British accent, mimicking Simon Cowell.

I gasped dramatically. "Rip hopes and dreams."

He chuckled. "You could always try being a piano teacher." he suggested.

I shrugged. "Yea maybe."

Silence enveloped around us. Which was fine because it wasnt an awkward silence. It was a comfortable silence. We were both comfortable at just listening to the music filling in the silence.

But then, we caught each other's eyes, both looking at each other in perfect timing. I was expecting him to look away or I was expecting myself to look away quickly but we held each other's gaze, smiling at our little exchange.

"Wanna dance?" he asked playfully.

"Sure. Nae nae or Running Man?" I asked jokingly.

He laughed. "I was thinking of slow dancing but I would love to see you dance either of those two."

I shook my head. "Not much of a dancer, to be honest. Whenever I try to dance, I end up looking like a swaying tree."

He laughed, shaking his head as well. "Slow dance it is then." he said, offering me his hand for me to reach.
