Looking for the future

Strange visions

What a crazy normal day it was until now , I found a tree which looked ... magical somehow. I plucked one of its fruits and took a bite though it was sweet I felt a strange shiver through me. "Irina"I heard my best friend Zara call she had blue eyes ,straight blonde hair and pale icy skin "coming "I said. We were exploring the nearby forest. We reached the main road in 5 mins and by that time I had forgotten about the tree. After reaching home my head felt strange, it wasn't aching or feeling dizzy , it was vibrating and my eyes were going blank sometimes.

It was a sleepless night ,I was not able to close my eyes  due to the blank spots.
In the morning  after taking a bath , I had put on my blue ombré shirt with a pair of jeans and  a pair of white sneakers , I ate my breakfast and was off to school. In the school today I was having odd visions I thought that I was just daydreaming. During lunch I sat with Zara , Angela and Jade ,I told everything to Zara in her ear ,but "Magical tree , magical fruits! Oh c'mon Irina these kind of stuff doesn't exist " was her answer " don't believe me " I asked "nops"she said "then come with me to the same place we went yesterday , after the school , I'll show you that I'm not lying "I said "Okay "she answered   .Then I had an odd vision sort thing in which Zara was frowning and some ketchup was dripping from her head, I thought that I was just daydreaming again💫, but after some time Zack, (Zara's little naughty brother) came with an open bottle of ketchup and then he flipped it over Zara. "What the heck !,Zack" Zara said , everyone including  Zack laughed"no joke Zack, now how will I attend my next class" Zara complained and then she was frowning.

I was not able to believe my eyes , Zara looked in the same position and expression as I had imagined her. Was I seeing the future , no of course not how can somebody see the future , it must have been some sort coincidence. Then I helped her wash her hair and gave her an emergency  dress I kept . On my way to the maths class I had the vision sort of thing again , but now it was in motion , it was my maths teacher Mr. Corner and he was announcing a surprise test of the previous chapter today.

Was I daydreaming again? , I never had so many daydreams in just one day, so no matter what I just revised the previous chapter thoroughly, and went to my class. I don't know wether it was a dream or reality but Mr.Corner really did announce a surprise test of the previous chapter. 'Another coincidence 'I thought , but from inside I was not able to take all these stuff as coincidences somehow , they felt like I really was able to see the future.

After school ,I took Zara to the same spot the magical tree was and know what  there was no tree. I was shocked to see the empty space in the forest where the magical tree had been. How can it be ? How can a big magical tree disappear over night?. "But, it is impossible how can it just disappear like that" I said "you were lying" she said "No , please trust me Zar, you know I never lie to you "I said "I know but....how can there be a tree that is magical, these kind of stuff only exist in fairy tales Iri , and not in real life"she said. It was the first time Zara didn't believe me. I was tired of explaining her the same thing over and over so I directly went home.

I cooked myself some pasta 🍝 as I was quit hungry and while eating I was not able to stop myself from thinking about the tree and it's strange fruit and the strange visions it gave me. Wait , the visions started to appear the night I ate the fruit , so can it be that the fruit was the reason I was having odd visions or future. After finishing the pasta I went to my bedroom upstairs. I wasn't able to sleep ,so I just lied down on my bed staring at the ceiling with my golden eyes and my ombré hair falling on the edge of the bed. I don't know what time I fell asleep 💤 but when I woke up it was Sunday morning 5am , it was the first time I had woke up so early.

I was still in my bed when suddenly I had the vision sort of thing again, in which I saw that we were at the funeral where Angela was crying her eyes out and inside the coffin was her grandpa. I was horrified by that vision I had met her grandpa, he was a nice and joyful person. I was so worried about him that I just picked up my phone and rang Angela. After a minute she picked up the phone "Hello!"she replied "Hi, Angela , it's Irina here , is your grandfather alright is he fine "I said " not exactly he is having quite a cough , but why are you tensed and how did you know that he was not well " she said , I felt a relief , but what would I explain to her now. There was a pause and then I heard a glass item fall and then Angela sort of screaming 'grandpa' then my worries came back " Angela,Angela what's wrong? "I asked but no response came.

I took my car to Angela's house , and rushed to the doorbell. After some time Angela opened the door she had tears in her deep blue eyes."oh , hi"she said , welcoming me in"Angela,what's wrong "I asked "no nothing , it's just , I guess that grandpa is just more than ill " she sobbed "what!"I exclaimed. "What did the doctor say?" I asked "he is still checking "she replied "hope he is fine "I said. Then after sometime the doctor came with a sad face "I'm sorry,he is no more " he said, Angela burst into tears and I was shocked to see my vision come true.
