Extend My Time

The Flower that i saw

One fine day on our Province at Zambales , My Grandmother Liza Vicente called our family , She wanted us to stay for a while in her hacienda , So my Father asked me my brothers and sisters of course we did not hesitate to ask because we we're still little when we first went there, but before we make our move , We have to ask Mom first ,

so Father picked up his phone to call mom , well mom did agree that we should go but she has a condition , she said that we would be able to go there only if I would be left at home .

I cried Desperately and begged father to persuade her , But in the end , the opposite of what I'm hoping for came as the result .

I was all gloomy as I waved Goodbye ,as the Engine starts my heart felt seeming ly broken but I stayed strong and smiled as they left our house.

Meanwhile as I enter the house my Mom called me on my phone , Mom said " Cedric don't worry , I asked you not to come because I wanted you to meet someone."

"All this for your selfish reasons" I replied with a gloomy expression.

Then I Hanged the phone .

I entered the house sat down and opened the Television flicking the remote and moving from channel to channel

As the Daylight passes , Night came , Since I'm alone inside our house , I tried to spend my time writing a poem , So I pulled out my Book of Poems and a Ballpen so I could begin , I sat down by my favourite place thinking , whispering , and watching the sky as words fill my mind .

How Many nights wouldl i spend alone

Inside this dark and empty dome

I prayed tonight and wished for someone

I played with my mind and hoped you would come

Where're those words when you wanted to write one ... 'Sigh' it's always like this ...

too bad I wasn't able to finish my poem . it was supposed to be special...

after that I went to bed and in the morning I wished for a floral sight.

Morning came and it's the 2nd week of summer , I washed my face and brushed my teeth , I went down the kitchen to fetch myseld some food for breakfast, I finished eating at six in the morning after a minute or two I felt bored ,

So I took a walk outside , I was enjoying one of the art that mother nature made, the transition of both the Sun and the Moon as they end the darkness and secured the light that embraces the earth with warmth,

"it felt nerve wracking" I said in my mind ,the sight also gave me a goosebumps.

"This is Beautiful , This must be one of Nature's art as it expresses the New Day "as I unconsciously spoke my mind

"It Is beautiful isn't it? As the light emerges and the darkness disappears , it's a complete cycle as left by the remnants of God "

I was shocked as I heard those words coming right out of a stranger ,I slowly turned my head Towards the person who spoke anonymously, Then suddenly our eyes met with a bizarre and nostalgic feeling , unkown to both of us ,

a moment that fate created , that instance was locked inside my mind , as I heavily breathe and think , I unconsciously said ," her beauty is captivating ."

Then she waved and said "Goodmoring" as if she didn't heard anything , (well I really wished that she heard nothing).

Then she stepped forward reached out to my hand , she held it tightly and said

" why are you as red as a tomato? , are you embarrassed? "

" n-n-no , I , y-y-you see, uhh," (what the hell I can't speak my mind out )I said inside my mind

" Huh? " reacted by the girl.

"g-g-Goodmorning" I said with a jolt of nervousness

"you're kinda weird and funny , anyway it was nice meeting you " she said with a big smile on her face

"wait .. uhhm .. are you leaving already? I want to know your name please... " I spoke courageously "

"oh, how rude of me for not speaking of my name , My Name is Ritta, Ritta Steins.... And yours? "

"I uhhmm "

"Cat got your tongue? Tee-hee "

"I – I –I'm Cedric , C-Cedric V-Velasco..." Then I said silently oh shit why am I like this ,...

"bye now let's meet again someday " she said cheerfully

"oh- uhhm .. ok .. bye .. I hope we meet again .."

Then she pulled out one of the flower that she's holding ,

"Take this , take care of it ok? "

I gladly took the flower from her hands and replied " I will , I promise "

Then she walked away , I looked at her , my eyes followed her until she slowly disappeared from my sight ,

after that I took a glance my watch and found out that it was already 9am ,

"oh crap , mom said she'd call at 9:15, I better hurry"

then I rushed home and made it just in time.

* Ring* Ring* Ring* , * Ring* Ring* Ring* ,

I heard at the front door , "it must be mom" then I picked up the phone .

"so honey , are you doing okay alone? By yourself ? while Dad and the others-"

" Please mom just ... stop teasing me already .."

"I'm sorry honey but there's a favor that I want you to do there, or atleast I want you to do it"

"what is it mom? "

" it's a secret , be sure to stay there inside the house till 12nn , goodbye honey , take care"

*hangs the phone*

I can't believe that she's my mother ...

after that I opened the T.V and been cautiously looking out the window, an hour or two passed by still no one , I walked up the stairs to get my towel since I wanted to take a bath , then suddenly

*Ding*Dong* , *Ding*Dong*

I immediately rushed to the door

"hello ? is somebody there? "

"wah , wai- , that voice..", I opened the door slowly as her voice piques my curiosity .

"GoodAfternoon ,*vows* I am sorry for intruding , I leave myself in your care ," then she raised her head .

I was speechless , surprised , and most all , I was shocked , cause her beauty that onced fascinated my eyes now trembled my heart, her eyes glowed as the sun shines brightly upon us , I spaced out a little and saw a summer that flourished beyond the boundary of my youth , I saw , the floral sight that will never wither in my mind
