kalani gets out of the car with her mother as they walk into Waybrook High school they make there way down the hall to the counseling office. kalani notices all the students speeding and worrying about where their classes were and parents asking questions like " do you know where Ms. Johnson's class is". kalani puts her attention back into what she had to do which was to get registered. kalani and her mother walk into the counseling office as her mother signs her in. kalani goes over and takes a seat and listens in on her mother's conversation with the receptionist, while she was on her phone taking a picture of her new shoes. " I'm here to register kalani Davis" that's all she hears as she zones out she wonders how high school is going to be like for her, if she was going to have many friends and join a sports team. kalani snapped out of her thoughts as she felt someone sit next to her, she looks over to see it was her mother and she asks her " what did she say" " she said to wait here for the freshman counselor to call us into her office". Once Kalani's mother got her registered they walked to her first class which was in the freshman academy. The freshman' s had their own section and cafeteria away from the upper class men. kalani and her mother rode the elevator up to the second floor and walked to room 304 as Kalani says goodbye to her mother, she notices some of her friends from middle school, she walks in and sits down next to them as they talk about how their freshman year was going to go for them. It's been a few weeks since Kalani has been in school, she had made more friends along with her old middle school friends. Kalani has been loving the high school experience, especially with a boy in the mix she met this boy named Ron threw her friend Eva. As Eva and Kalani are walking down the hall to their next class, they see Ron on the way and Kalani lets out a little smile as they pass by. Eva stops Kalani in her tracks and asks her " are you guys dating?" " no, we're just friends, but I gotta go I don't want to be late for class". Kalani takes off and hears Eva yell " I know that means yes!" As they part ways.
