I never meant for the car to hit her that day. I was 12, and I never thought that I'd be standing, crying on my mother's coffin as it got lowered into the ground. My dad had held me, and we went home after that. Dad went up to his room, and I stayed downstairs. He didn't want me to hear him cry, he wanted to be strong for me, but his wailing cries followed me. The doorbell rang, and the kid next door was there.
"Hello Dogfish."
He said.
"Heard about your mum."
He hugged me, and cried. His tears soaked my shirt, but he didn't even make a sound. He pulled back, and he said,
"Brooke, you know you can always talk to me. If you need a shoulder to cry on, come over Ok? Even if you have to escape without your dad knowing, even if I have to yell why you need me, come over Ok?"
I nodded.
"Ok Jerkface."
He smiled, as did I. Then I hugged him, and cried. He caressed my hair, before saying,
"I love you Dogfish."
Shortest chapter, I am sorry. I hope I can update soon but yeah, I haven't got experience in this field of writing not to mention I don't like Romance, and this is my backup account. I'm trying to branch out with my writing so yeah.
