This isn't going to start off like any other corny romance novel, because this story is FAR from that. I wish it was something graceful like in the movies, I wish it was like "The notebook" or like "Dear John" . But no, this story is going to be more like "Love and other drugs" or "500 days of summer". Just in case you didn't know; those movies have horrific, unhappy endings.
It wasn't long before Gabe and his current girlfriend Jess would break up dramatically over social media. Sitting there Patiently awaiting, was Asia. 16 year old, Asia Hernandez, thin, light golden skin complexion to perfectly accommodate her oversized brown eyes. Her hair was jet black and naturally a curly wavy texture and reeked of her tropical shampoo.
She had her eyes on the kid.
For a while.
He was Gabe Guiseppi. 17 years of age, athletic, tall, brains, multi talented. His bronze kissed skin glistened whenever he stepped outside. His broad shoulders peaked from within His shirt, His hair precisely trimmed into a taper fade. He was too perfect for her.
Something HAD to be off. Asia didn't think she stood a chance as she drooled over his pictures, and now that he was single, the hormones raged even more.
They always flirted online but no one made the next move. Something has to give. Both too shy to speak up, Gabe, finally stepped up to the plate one night, about three days after he was announced single.
Knowing Asia, the gorgeous cold hearted female, she usually would have humiliatingly rejected him. However, she knew he was special from jump. She gave him a chance. Worst thing she could have done.
"Hey💓" Gabe said via direct message
"Oh, Hi💕" Asia replied.
"Do you mind if I get your number? ✨💎" Gabe persisted.
Asia proceeded to give him her digits. They then hit it off. Sparks flew!, Doves spiraled into the air forming a heart!, and George Michael came out of Madonna's ass singing "Careless whisper".
The two had almost everything in common, from their favorite color, to where they were born, to what they want to do after high school, to their pet peeves, to the music they listen to and to what interests them. They stayed up for hours, asking each other questions and talking about how weird the world is and everything else.
It was really beautiful, two pretty souls colliding to vibe in the most effortless way. It happened in the blink of an eye.
"Omg I was sooooo scarred to talk to you. I thought you didn't notice me!" Asia exclaimed.
"I thought the same thing. I thought you were so gorgeous, I had to talk to you."
Days then weeks passed, and the honeymoon faze remained. They were officially talking. In this particular case, Time didn't matter, the feelings rapidly developed and it felt like they knew each other for months. On Saturday December 9th, they arranged to meet each other. It was 2pm on the dot as Asia started getting ready. She brushed and straightened her hair delicately, and wore her favorite maroon long sleeve sweater, with a pair of black distressed jeans and white converses to match. She then took one last gaze in the mirror next to the front door, before she hopped in her Mazda to go make the trip to see Gabe. She nervously grasped the steering wheel, tapping it viscously and wiped her sweaty palms on her thighs while she commuted.
She was only 4 minutes away from his house. and every minute she got closer, the more butterflies began to unravel from their cocoons. She at last arrives. Her thoughts were carnal, blurry, and strained. She abruptly walked up to his door and started to knock but didn't finish when she realized the door was pried open.
She cautiously and slowly walked inside. their house was small but charming. Next to the front door was the dining room which consisted of an expresso colored wood dining table with coordinating chairs and various decor layed on top.
Above hung a spacious gold chandelier that drooped down from the very high celling. To the right of the dinning room, was a narrow hallway, which had rooms on both sides. And straight ahead was the kitchen.
"Gabe?" Asia called out.
She tip toed down the hallway and peered into the first room. Nothing.
Instantaneously, Asia was sharply yanked into the second room. Her heart stopped.
The door slammed fiercely.
She then looked up, to realize that she was in Gabe's arms. He squeezed her, not caring if she could breathe or not. He hugged her like he was going to lose her. They stumbled onto the floor. Passionately embraced one another. 15 minutes passed by. Nothing but silence and innocent touches.
"I can't believe you're here..." Gabe finally whispered.
"me neither" Asia replied softly.
They both stared at each other, peering to each other's souls passionately before they shared their first kiss.
Gabe slowly leaned in, eyes closed, shaking.
Their lips, made contact. It felt as though... time stopped. Everything was in slow motion. Everything thing that ticked, dinged, beeped, alarmed was silenced.
He picked her up, while their lips were still locked. Asia's arms around his neck, legs wrapped tightly around his waist. His arms on her lower back.
Love was present, but neither of them knew it yet.
Quite some time went by, they were unattached from each other's arms and lied next to each other on Gabe's bed. Gabe turned to his left to face Asia. She felt him blaring at her.
"what are you doing ?" She giggled.
Gabe didn't crack a smile.
"I can not stop staring at you."
He continued to gaze at her in Awe. She giggled and Gabe rolled over on top of her, pinching her sides, and tickling her. They both chuckled. Then they slowly simultaneously stopped. Their smiles faded as they slowly locked lips.
It was like he casted a spell, the spell of love. The spell of love that can only be casted by having lip-to-lip and eye-to-eye contact. Mesmerized. Not by his looks, but by his resplendent, sublime personality. His strong soothing voice. His burning, blissful but yet toxic touch.
She didn't know what to do.
But
To
Fall
In love.
It was literally love at first sight. Corny as fuck. But true.
She rolled over on top of him, layed on his chest and started to doze off. His hand massaging her scalp. He too then fell asleep.
Hours later it was 6pm. They both awoke. It was time to depart.
"Babe, I have to go" Asia said groggily.
She got off of him and stood up straight and stretched. Gabe moved from his fixed position and picked up Asia. They were face to face. and they both walked to the front door.
He set her down and reeled her in closer, he roughly grabbed her face and body and kissed her one last time. They both smiled as Asia exited and said their goodbyes. She reached inside her pocket for her keys and unlocked the car door and stepped inside. She just sat there.
Smiling for no reason. She caught herself and quickly focused on starting the car and driving away.
She just couldn't stop thinking about the day she just had..
This was THE day.
Seeing him was the Worst mistake,
meeting him was the worst mistake.
But she didn't know it yet..
