7 YEARS LATER.

Garroth's POV

"Fine, then leave!" I yell.

"You're making it seem like all of this is my fault! When it's not!" Ivy snaps.

"Go back to Ty. He'll know how to 'treat you well'." I reply in a harsh tone.

"TY'S DEAD." Ivy screams.

"THEN TOO BAD." The thought of Ty's death truly did tickle me. He deserved it after all, "Leave Ivy!" I bellow. She cowers at my tone.

"FINE. I NEVER LIKED A BLONDIE LIKE YOU ANYWAY." Ivy sashays out.

She slams the door behind her, leaving me to scowl. I look around my apartment, which is totally trashed due to one of Ivy's tantrums. Ivy acts like a kid in a woman's body. It's insane! I let out an exaggerated sigh, then start cleaning up.  While I'm in the midst of cleaning, a brunette from years ago comes back into my mind. Laurance Zvhal. I haven't seen him in... Forever. Not since we moved from the MyStreet house, I honestly kind of miss him. I continue cleaning, but the thought of him just won't leave my head! Once I finish, the first thing I do is grab my phone. I look through my contacts and see Laurance at the very bottom. I tap on the text icon and start going thru some of our old text messages.

-Jan. 24, 2016. 1:45AM-

Garroth: Sorry about the... kiss.😕

Laurance: But you're a good kisser😏

Garroth: LAURANCE!😶

Laurance: Lol. It's fine.

Laurance: Hey, Katelyn liked it.

Garroth: But she wants us to do it again.😐

Laurance: NOPE.

Garroth: Heh. Go to bed, it's getting late.🙂🌙

Laurance: Only if you're in here with me.😏

Garroth: LAURANCE! 😳

Laurance: Haha! Night.😆

Garroth: Night.🙂

I smile at the old memories, "Why not reach out to him?" I ask myself. I tap on the text box, then start typing.

-June 7, 2023. 2:30PM-

Garroth: Hey, Laurance... Long time no see.

I wait for him to respond, but the speech bubble shows up in a matter of seconds.

Laurance: Garroth? Hey!

I get the butterflies that used to burst in my stomach when I saw him back at MyStreet.

Garroth: It's been a while..

Laurance: It has been...

The speech bubble reappears.

Laurance: Are you free?

Garroth: Yea, why?

Laurance: Do you still live in town?

Garroth: Mhm.

Laurance: Wanna meet up?

My eyes widen as a childish grin appears on my face.

Garroth: Of course!

Garroth: I mean..

Garroth: Sure. 😳

Garroth: Where?

Laurance: Maybe... Logan's Local Grill?

Garroth: Right now?

Laurance: Yea.😊

My grin grows wider as I jump up, grab my jacket then bolt out the door. Excitement runs thru my body. I rush to my jeep, then drive to Logan's Grill. Logan had the idea to open a grill after Donna and Kiki had made their bakery, so Logan made his grill. And, it's food is pretty good if I do say so myself. Eventually, I reach the grill. I hop out of my car, then walk in. I spot a brunette at the bar, which I'm assuming is Laurance. The boy is talking to Logan, who I guess is bar-tending at the moment.

I walk over to the bar and sit down by the brunette. After getting a glance of his face, I know it's Laurance. I look down at my phone to see if Laurance would recognize me. I know Logan does, but he doesn't pay attention. He knows what I'm doing.

"Have you seen Garroth?" Laurance questions.

His voice... Just how I remember it. Butterflies rush into my stomach. The butterflies I haven't felt since... 7 years ago. My hairstyle changed, that's why I want to see if he'd notice me being there.

"No, haven't seen him." Logan replies.

I clear my throat, "Logan, I'll take a--" I start.

I lift my head, "GARROTH?" Laurance cuts me off.

I glance at the brunette, smiling, "Hey." I greet.

Laurance wraps his arms around me in a hug. I return the gesture, "I missed you." Laurance mutters.

"I missed you too." I reply.

Laurance releases, "If you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have noticed you!" Laurance playfully punches my arm.

I chuckle, then look back at the werewolf who's smiling at us, "Logan, I'll take a pepsi." I order. Logan nods, then scurries off, "So.. How have you been?" I ask.

"No, I want to know how YOU'VE been." Laurance says.

"Well... Uh, good.. I got an apartment only a couple minutes from here." I inform, leaving the Ivy part out.

She started off as my stalker, then forced me to date her. I objected, but she threatened to hurt my brothers and their lovers. Zane's with Travis and Vylad's with Dante, but that's not the point.

"Now, your turn." I say.

Laurance sighs, then rambles on about how he got over Aphmau and that Cadenza moved to Meteli.

"And, now I'm a comedian. I went on a world tour last year." Laurance finishes, scratching the back of his neck nervously. He seems nervous, I don't blame him. I am too.

"Really? That's amazing!" I exclaim, proud of him.

Laurance chuckles nervously, "Cadenza's a fashion designer; We all expected that." Laurance adds.

I chuckle, "Everyone did." I reply.

"What profession did you go into?" Laurance questions.

"I'm a doctor." I inform.

Laurance ruffles my hair, "You're smarter than I am." Laurance uses a certain voice that always made me laugh, it still does.

"S-Stop it!" I exclaim while hitting his hands playfully.

"Here's your... Dr.. Ink.." Logan slows his words down as he puts the pepsi down on a coaster in front of me. Laurance lowers his hands quickly, placing them in his lap.

"YOU SAW NOTHING." Laurance states, "What'd you see?" Laurance asks.

"Nothing..?" Logan's statement flows out more like a question.

"Exactly. Good Logan." Laurance smiles.

Logan chuckles, then walks off, "Laurance, it's great to see you again." I confess.

"I'm glad we set this up." Laurance replies. We continue talking for hours and hours.

I wish this would never end.
