Chapter 1 --

          "Ryo!"

The greenish black haired girl opened her hazel coloured eyes. Tch, she thought as she looked up at her brother.

"How many times have I told you to call me Ryo-nee?" Echizen Ryoka muttered, leaning against the trunk of the tree.

Echizen Ryoma rolled his eyes. "Stop sleeping," he said and it was Ryoka's turn to roll her eyes.

"You should say that to yourself, Midget," she said as she stood up, patting the blades of grass off of her skirt.

"We're going to late school because of you," her younger brother scolded even though he didn't particularly cared. She resisted the urge to laugh. She's been awake a long time ago and Ryoma had only woken up, she was just waiting for him. She didn't know where the school was because she didn't come on the first few days of school due to a fever.

"Blah, blah, blah," she chirped rubbing his hair. "We're not gonna be late, Midget."

~

"Told ya," she beamed as they reached the school.

Ryoma rolled his eyes before glancing at his sister. "You didn't bring your rackets," he said with a smirk as he pointed at her.

She glanced at her back before cursing under her breath. She turned to her brother before lifting her chin. "I'm not gonna join either way."

He lifted his eyebrow. "Why not?"

"Cause I don't wanna," she answered. She did play tennis but she didn't want to join the tennis club. It's not like she had any more skills to improve. "Go to your class, Midget. I'll see ya after school. Tennis court?"

He nodded before walking in the other direction. Ryoka hummed to herself as she walked alone to her classroom, 3-6.

"Found it," she mumbled to herself as she entered the classroom. She gulped as she stared at the teacher who in return stared back at her. Shit. Am I late?

"You must be the transfer student," the teacher said. She nodded before walking into the class. "Please introduce yourself."

"Echizen Ryoka," she said trying not to seem nervous. She always hated it whenever she had to introduce herself.

The teacher pointed to the empty seat beside a boy with light brown hair that reached his chin. "Echizen, sit beside Fuji Syusuke."

She nodded and scurried to the empty seat. I hope I didn't embarrass myself, she thought, cupping her cheeks.

Fuji Syusuke glanced at Ryoka who was scribbling something on her notebook. A small piece of folded paper landed on his table and he glanced at Kikumaru Eiji before unfolding it.

Fuji, you should talk to her

Fuji glanced at Ryoka before glancing back at Kikumaru who gestured at him to talk to her. Fuji looked at the scribbling on Ryoka's notebook before realizing she was sketching out the classroom.

"Nice sketch," he said with a smile, hoping she heard him.

Ryoka was startled, she didn't think he could see her drawing. She looked at Fuji before replying, "Thanks. It's just a rough sketch though."
