The classroom was silent. Only the faint sound of a page being turned could be heard.
The teacher, old and stern, wore a brown cardigan with a fading blue dress, fraying stockings and old, hard clogs. Her circle rimmed glasses perched at the end of her crooked nose. Occasionally the optical aids would slide to the end of her nose where she would push them back up again, shaking her head vigorously which would then fall back down again. This process continued until something disturbed her. Dear lord forbid something disturbed her.
Suddenly, someone's phone started ringing. In a rage, she flew to where the sound eminated from.
The child, a straight A student, was engrossed in The Lord of The Rings and didn't notice the teacher intensely staring at the student. She cleared her throat and the student looked up at her. A shiver went down his spine.
'Give. Me. Your. Phone.'
The student quickly grabbed his bag and rummaged frantically for the device that was causing so much disturbance.
'H-h-here it is'
He passed his phone over and the teacher grabbed it.
She walked over to a Bunsen burner on one of the science benches and lit the flame.
The student stood up and yelled
'No!'
'Sit! Down!'
Reluctantly the student lowered himself into his chair.
The flame was bright sapphire blue, hot enough to give first degree burns.
The teacher addressed the class -
'Now this class, is what happens when your phone is not on silent! Let this be a lesson to you all!'
She let out an insane cackle as she moved the phone towards the flame.
As the phone got closer and closer, the entire class held their breaths and crossed their fingers. The owner of the phone especially.
Suddenly, the bell rang, breaking the tense silence. The phone owner bolted towards the teacher, grabbed the phone and ran out of the room.

Two weeks later, Andy (the owner of the phone) left the school.
The teacher was fired.
