Flash ran down the road as fast as he could, avoiding the cars everywhere. I can get there in time, I'm going to get there in time! Flash thought, skidding to a stop when he arrived.
His eyes filled with terror and sadness. I was too late....I couldn't save her....he blinked back tears as he looked at the chalk marked around where Iris' body was, a spot of blood where the head was.
He put a hand to his mouth to cover his sob. "You were too late, she's gone." The guard said from behind the CRIME SCENE, DO NOT CROSS, tape.
Flash squeezed his eyes shut, he got her, he got her already. She's not going to be the last, I have to stop him. I have to. A growl escape his lips and he zoomed off, clenching his fists.
Wally and Bart can help, they can help stop him, if they're alive. Flash zoomed towards the house and ran through the door, "WALLY! BART! JAY!" He shouted, frantically looking around.
"Whoa, what's wrong?" Wally asked, walking up with Jai and Irey. Flash sighed in relief, "You're alive. Where's Bart?" He asked, Wally turned to Jay.
"Oh, I think Wall Street, Barry, but-" Flash had already zoomed off. He stopped when he saw a familiar body on the ground, "Bart..."
Flash squatted down and checked his pulse, dead, he got to him already. Too late, again. Flash clenched his fists and his body shook with anger.
"Is Bart okay?" Wally asked as he ran in. "He's....gone." Flash said, "What!" Wally ran over to Bart and checked his pulse. Bart started disappearing. "What's happening?"
"He's being erased from existence. When Iris died, it was only a matter of time before he disappeared." Flash said. "Who did this?" Wally asked.
"I did." He said, vibrating his hand and putting it in Wally's chest. "WALLY!" Flash shouted, running over and catching him. The man had already ran away.
"T-Tell Jai a-and Irey...." Wally muttered. "I will, Wally, I will." Flash whispered as tears fell, Wally's eyes rolled into the back of his head and Flash pushed his eyelids closed.
"D-Daddy?" Flash looked up and shook his head, "I'm so sorry, Irey, Jai." He muttered. "Your Dad wanted you to know......he really loved you, you know that right?"
Jai and Irey ran to Wally and hugged him, crying. "You need to go. Before you die too." Flash said, standing up and walking away. "Too late."
Flash turned around just as they were stabbed, "NO!" They fell to the floor and started disappearing like Bart did, "There's nothing you can do to stop this. There's only one more person left, Jay Garrick."
"Stop! Why are you doing this?" Flash asked, "For one reason, Barry, I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER LIKE YOU DID TO ME." The man ran away and Flash started running towards Jay.
"JAY! JAY PLEASE BE ALI- no.....no! NO!" Flash fell to the ground on his knees and cried, "Why....why! WHY! WHY!" He cried, his body vibrating and tears streaming down his face.
He then collapsed and passed out.
"Barry! Barry!"
Flash woke up and saw everyone alive, "It...it was just a dream!" He exclaimed, hugging Iris. "I'm sorry, I didn't save you." He sobbed.
"Shh, it's okay, Barry, I'm in a better place." Iris said, petting his head. "What?" Flash looked up, "This is all a dream, wake up and move on. I forgive you, Barry."
Everyone around him smiled, "We all forgive you." They said as Flash woke up yet again. This time he was in a nice, large bed.
"Hello, Master Barry." Flash looked up to see Alfred. "Alfred! I have to stop him! I have to...I...." he trailed off when he remembered his family.
"Dead....they're all dead....." He stared at the red sheet. Why'd it have to be red? The color of my family.....the color I will always remember.
"Barry." Flash looked up to see Bruce. "Bruce....it....they..." he trailed off. "I know, Barry, it's okay." Bruce walked over. "We'll get him. I promise." A familiar figure stood at the other side of the room.
"N-No! Back off! You ruined my life!" Flash jumped out of bed and punched the guy, who flung out the window. "FOR MY FAMILY!" He phased his hand into the guys chest and stopped when there was no more struggling.
"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET!" He took off the guy's mask and gasped. "D-Dad?" The face of his dad was clear as day.. "Th-That's my....boy...." his heat stopped and he fell limp.
"No! NOOOOOOO!" Flash cried out.
"Don't you see, Barry? There's never a happy ending. Never." Flash looked up at Bruce, "Why...why do such good people have to die?" He asked.
"I don't know, Barry. I don't know...."
