The van screeched loudly making my ears pop. I knew Blake was on my side but I didn't trust him at the wheel. But he had taken the wheel as if he knew what he was doing. Apart from nearly hitting the on coming car on the road he was doing a good job. I couldn't complain, he is doing a better job then I could ever do. The tiers went again but this time something rammed the back of the van. I look at the mirror showing the rear of the car, my mouth fell open.

"It's them isn't it?" Blake said to me.   I didn't take a glance at him only at the person who sat at the wheel of the car ramming the back of us, Zidane. Every ounce of me hated him now, but another part still cared for him even after all I had found out. He must have had some feelings there; I mean he had been my best friend once right? He said he had never been my friend, he was pretending but I doubt anyone can pretend it for that long. There would have been more hints, more signs. Had there been any signs at all? Maybe I was just too blind to see them. The car hits the back of the van for a second time.

"Yeah it's them," I finally say.

"Any good ideas?" Blake asks me. I guess Blake doesn't know to know I'm not the best person to ask that question. I never have any ideas and if I have any ideas well there normally the dame right outrages ones that probably would get us all killed.

"Hit the breaks!" I scream.   In my shock and surprise Blake had listened to me the Van screeched to a rough stop making the car behind us crash against the van but made the car fly back. I fling open the door and climb up onto the van as rain smacks me in the face.

"Drive!" I scream.

"This is crazy!" shouts Blake not moving.

"Blake now before everyone ends up dead!" I scream.

"No!" he shouts.

"Blake you need to trust me! I know this is crazy but we have no choice!"

The van flung forward so quickly I had to grab onto the van as I fell to my knees as the rain continued to pour down on me. We hadn't put much between us and the other car not with Blake stopping for more then I had planned but it gave us enough time, enough time for me to get to the roof of the van and put a small gap between the van and there car.   I see Zidane's smirk as he tries to speed up. I see Jay next to him in the car. My powers are no match for the both of them. Blake had warned me that there kind are strong on there own but together as a pair or in this case a three will be extremely hard to get rid of. We can't run forever but we have to try!

I knew I had to get them away from us but I didn't know how to do it without hurting Zidane I wished I didn't care but I did. I cursed myself for it I focused like Blake had taught me to and imaged a force field between our car and theirs nothing I shook my head and tried again this time really willing for it, I believed in it imagined it suddenly their car stopped in its tracks Zidane's face was one of disbelief I saw him take his foot of the accelerator and slam it back down again nothing happened he looked at me. I saw the hatred there the rage the force field wouldn't last long it would at least buy us some time. The van changed lanes sharply and threatened to roll me off but I managed to stay put.

"Shadow come back!" I heard Blake shout. I looked at the car it still hadn't moved I saw Zidane and Elliot arguing the force field wouldn't hold for much longer. I tried to stand up I was still on my knees the rain had turned into a full on storm now so it wasn't helping. I could slip as soon I got up suddenly thunder roared from the dark grey sky above my heart sank I had to get back in before the lightning hit I slowly tried to stand up.

I managed to get to my feet and I slowly tried to hoist myself down with the door of the passenger side still open as Blake sped down the hill onto the motorway. I found it hard with the rain still hitting my face and lost my grip on the top of the van nearly falling to my death but Blake had left the wheel grabbing onto my hand and bringing me into the van before taking the wheel again. Anymore time and we had crashed into the barrier blocking the car's coming the opposite side.
