The way it used to be was simple, Justice and I did everything together. We used to stay at each others houses, braid each others hair, we used to do each others homework. We were like the perfect best friends that you see in the movies. But that all changed one fateful Tuesday. We were walking towards our first class - Health. Health aint a bad class but after this event it is soon to be my most hated class of all. Let me get back to what we were doing-
We were walking towards our first class- health when my phone in my pocket buzzed, reaching deep into my pocket and pulling out the device I turned it on and quickly read the text message- it was from Derek my best guy friend, the message told me that we needed to talk about something important and that he'll meet me at the coffee shop down the street. Shrugging it off and thinking it was just a meeting about Justice's birthday.
As we begun health class my phone began to buzz, my teacher glared at me as my phones distinct ring-tone rung out through the class, I asked my teacher if I could take the call he reluctantly said yes.
I grabbed the phone out of my pocket and answered it as I was running out the door yelling into the phone "this better be good..." As O slammed the squeaky door behind me. Derek replied to me " We need to talk now and not after school grab your things tell the teacher its a family emergency and meet me at the coffee shop in ten" Derek has never felt this desperate before so I ran into the classroom and explained the family "emergency" grabbed my things and sprinted down the street to the coffee shop.
Entering the warm coffee shop, my was immediately knocked back from the over-powering smell of coffee and baked goods. Peering around the snugly decorated coffee shop I spotted Derek sitting on the corner in an armchair. He waved me over and patted the armchair next to him.
When I had sat down I glared at him and angrily whispered " This better be good I have never missed a class you know..."
Derek replied "I know that but I just thought you heard this now rather than later. This summer I found a really sweet girl..."
I hastily replied "you know I do not care about your love life right?"
"yes I know but let me finish" He said quietly
"OK"
"So I meet this sweet girl" He continued
"she is amazing and I absolutely perfect for me, but..."
"But what" I interrupted
"The girl is Justice, and before you start going CRAZY at me I just want you to know one..."
"before I go crazy you as soon as you said her name I was angry at you no scratch that I m furious with you how can you have feelings for my best friend and secondly does she kno-"
"YES she knows" He interrupted
"Of course she knows she was the one who suggested it and he one that followed me and agreed to-"
"I dont want to know anymore!" Is what I had shouted as I ran out through the once small, snug coffee shop, but know that place had a reputation towards me of the place that I found out that two of my best and only friends were dating and even worse hooking up. To me that coffee shop was no longer cute and Innocent it was a place of hatred, bad things and mostly where I had found out that my two only friends had betrayed me.
