Chapter 1

Novas .pov.

I'm running....
The sun appearing Though the dark clouds, The wind rushing through my fur, the smell of the forest after a fresh rainfall, the thud of my paws on the floor as I race faster and faster. I've never felt so free.

A few hours earlier

The sky is dark with the clouds rumbling their annoyance , the rain falling fast it becomes the only thing you can see. My younger siblings moaning their annoyance of being stuck Indoors.

" I'm bored" Sarah my eight year old sister complains joining me in watching the rain fall.
" I know but with the rain we can't go outside you'll get sick" I start playing with her long auburn hair as it always calms her down.
"We're werewolves, we don't get sick" my fourteen year old brother Nathan pitches in moving toward the tv room.
" your not a werewolf until you change, you can get sick up till then" I try to explain but it falls on deaf ears as he turns the volume on the tv up. Sighing I finish Braiding Sarah's hair just the way she likes it.
" why don't we watch a movie and wait for mum and dad to get home, Sarah pick a movie sweetie" moving the rustic,country style kitchen our mother spent 6 months picking out to get some snacks for us to eat.
"Why does she get to pick?" Nathan moans following me.
" because you'll pick a scary a movie and I'll be stuck sharing a bed with Sarah for a week AGAIN" last time we let Nathan pick a movie, he picked the conjuring and Sarah's kicks in her sleep ALOT.
"I picked one" me and Nathan share carrying the snacks and we move through the house toward Sarah's voice. On the tv my dear sweet sister picked Cinderella and was sitting with the most innocent expression you'll ever see. Laughing i sat down and let her cuddle into me while Nathan looked on.
" are you serious?" Laughing more I pressed play.
About half way though the movie the front door opened and the sound of my parents laughter echoed through the house. Sarah jumped up and ran straight into my fathers burley arms.
"Daddy"
"Hi sweetie, you guys been good?" My parents were meeting with our alphas for the annual pack meeting not that we are  high ranking or anything it's more so the alphas can check up on all their members. Sarah and moved and was holding out mothers leg while she laughed.
" yes daddy we watched  a movie and stayed inside like you said"
As Sarah was talking I looked outside and saw the rain had stopped and smiled
"Can I go for a run now" I love to run when the rain has casted a fresh layer or water on the leafs making them shine, the ground forming puddles that my wolf loves jumping in and that smell that makes her feel like she's in Wild.
" yes but please be back for dinner..."
Walking toward the door " and don't go to far" I changing into my white wolf that's wasn't as large as a wolf with high ranking but wasn't small either and starting running.

Xavier's .pov.

The silence of the palace is deafening. The only sound coming from the downpour of rain outside. The thrones sitting in the middle of the room are taunting me, calling me. Normally Royal wolfs take the throne on their 21st birthday but I don't fall in that category as I am the first to not have my mate on mine. I've been travelling to other packs per my parents instruction to find my mate but so far no luck so here I am again staring at the throne that is meant to be mine.

" your highness there's a wolf on the land" my enforcer Brian tells me walking into the room out of breath like he's been running.
"One of ours"
"No sir" sighing I turn toward him.
"Let's go get him them" wolfs without permission aren't aloud on palace grounds.

Stepping outside I relish in the smell of the fresh air my wolf loving the mix of smells it creates . My wolf is midnight black and large, larger than the average alphas even are. Running to the outskirts of the border between the palace and no mans land my wolf is barking happily thinking it's because he likes running I tell him to shut up.

5 minutes later

Rose with a sweet hint of chocolate is all I can smell its clouding all my senses and I need to find the source so I run and I run.... The smell disappears as Brian comes toward me.
" the wolfs gone, ran back to were it came from  "
" I don't care I want that wolf found"
There's some thing about that wolf.
Novas .pov.

Stepping trough the door I smell the dinner my mother has prepared, it's always meat we are carnivores after all. My parents are talking about the alphas plans to build on our land to accommodate the growth in pack members we've seen over the last few years. Our alpha is fair and welcomes new members all the time.
" can I be excused that run tried me out"
"Sure honey sleep well" I say goodnight and walk upstairs to my room. I've never been a girly girl so it's not bright pink like Sarah's it's sky blue, I like feeling like I'm outside. I fall asleep thinking about nothing really.
