I wrote this one during English Class. I only had like 10 to 15 minutes to write it, so idk how good it is, or if it even makes sense. Anyways, it's supposed to be representative of the positive side of ambition. I'm sure it was related to the lesson somehow.
There are some treasures that cannot be bought
There are some skills that cannot be taught
There are some wars that cannot be fought
And to pursue these things would be all for naught
And yet we seek impossible goals
We walk through fields of smoldering coals
In chasing dreams, we set our own roles
In the endless flight of our insatiable souls
We hunger for intangible thought,
We thirst because we know that we ought
We hunt the ideas that our ancestors sought
And we will not stop until they have been caught
Our curiosity is an unsolvable case
Even in death, in all things that we face
Refusing to live by the natural pace:
Such is the ambition of the human race.
