Love At First Sight

Chapter 1

Brynn's Pov

"Brynn, can we go to the skate shop?" Olivia asks. "Yeah, after we get coffee." I answer, while putting on my shoes. "Okay, first coffee, then skate shop." She says and opens the for me. "Thanks, Liv." I say and walk out. She nods and closes my door. We start heading to our favourite coffee shop. "Man, it's hot" Olivia says and wipes beads of sweat off her forehead. "No duh, we live in North Carolina." I say flatly. She looks at me, then she giggles and I roll my eyes and look at all the people who pass us by. I've notice almost that everyone has a boyfriend/girlfriend. "I guess this is the year of everyone dating." I say and look at Liv. She nods. We reach the coffee shop and walk in. When we walk in we're hit with the smell of fresh coffee.

We walk up to the counter and wait. We finally get up and we order. "Can I get a hazelnut coffee, please." I say. She nods and tells someone to make the it. Olivia goes and orders a pumpkin spice latte. We get our coffee and sit down at a booth. "So Brynn, did you find a boyfriend yet?" Liv asks breaking the silence. "No, you?" I say and take a sip of my coffee. She shakes her head "no". I nod. "I'm surprised that you haven't found a boyfriend, Liv." I say. "Why?" She asks puzzled. "Well, you're pretty and you can talk to boys so easy." I answer. She shrugs and goes back to sipping her coffee. "Now that we finished our coffees , can we please go to the skate shop now, Brynn?" She asks. I nod and throw my cup away. We hard out and make our way to the skate shop. "Why do you love the skate shop so much?" I ask. "I love to skate board, it helps me calm down and plus it's fun." She answers. I nod. We get to the skate shop and walk in. We are hit with the nice cool air.

"Hello girls!" Mr. Wilson says. "Hey, Mr. Wilson." We say in unison. He smiles and goes back to fixing the skateboard. "I'm gonna go and look around." Liv says and walks away. I watch Liv go around the corner and disappears. I go and sit in a chair and wait for Liv to be done. After minutes go by, I get up and look for Liv. I was walking and when I turned the corner I see Olivia doing at this black and white tribal pattern skateboard. "Hey, Liv,you going to buy the skateboard?" I ask. "Maybe, it's new, has a really good paint job, and it's made by the number one brand in the US." She answers. I nod and look at the skateboard again. "I think you should buy it, Liv." I say. She nods and grabs the skateboard and see Mr. Wilson still fixing the skateboard. "Mr. Wilson, I should like to buy the skateboard." Olivia says gently places the skateboard on the glassy counter. "All right, let me just swipe the barcode." He says and swipes it.

"Okay, it is $40.75." He says. Liv gives him the no hey and he places it in the cash register. "Thanks, Mr. Wilson." Liv says. "No problem, Olivia." Mr. Wilson says. We walk out and sit on the curb. "You gonna try it out?" I ask. "Later, I'm gonna come back to here and test it out." She answers. I nod and look up at the sky. "Well, I'm gonna head home, Brynn, see you later." Liv says and walks away. I get up and walk home. I get home and open my door. "Lightning, I'm home!" I shout. In a couple of minutes Lightning is bounding down the stairs. I get down on my knees and rub his black and white fur. After playing with him for a while, I go into the kitchen and start eating strawberries. I finish eating and clean the kitchen up. I finish and go to the living room to read a book. In the middle of reading my phone goes off.

O: Hey! You wanna go back to Mr. Wilson's skate shop?
B: Now?
O: No tomorrow, yes, now!
B: Yeah, should I meet you there or what?
O: No, because I'm already at your house, so just open your front door.
B: Okay, see you outside the house.
O: Bye.
B: Bye.

I turn my phone off and open my front door. "Hey!" Liv says. "Hey." I say back. We walk back to the skate shop, so Liv can try her new skateboard. We get to his store and I sit on the curb and watch Liv doing tricks and testing her skateboard. "This skateboard is amazing!" She shouts. "Congrats!" I shout back. "You wanna try?" She asks. "No thanks." I say. She nods and continues to do tricks. "Are you done?" I ask. "No, I want to try this new trick out." She answers and looks me in the eyes. "Fine, the can we go home, Liv?" I ask. "Yeah, let me just do this trick." She says and starts going faster on her skateboard. "Why, do I have a bad feeling about this?" I say to myself. She starts gaining speed and then she lifts her skateboard and does a flip and she was about to land, but she misses the landing and she should have fallen, but she never did. I open my eyes and see Olivia in the arms of a stranger.
