"She's going to be alright she..." I heard a lady say as I drifted in and out of consciousness.

I tried to talk, but my throat was dry and I was so tired I couldn't move a muscle.

"Why was she screaming so much?" I heard someone ask. I think it was Uncle John, but I heard a quiver in his voice and Uncle John isn't the crying type of guy.

"She was probably just dreaming John," said the lady, "and besides she's okay now. What does it matter?"

"You know why it matters, Felicity. Her father was a Seer too and look how he turned out!"

"Being a Seer is not what makes you a bad person, who you are is what makes you a bad person. Destiny's dad was a bad person because that was how he was raised, but Destiny has got her mother in her too, not just him. You have to trust her and who she is. She's going to be just fine."

"I hope you're right."

When I finally had the energy to talk, I was speechless. Not only did Uncle John lie about not knowing much about my dad, but he was keeping secrets about him. This random lady had more faith in me than my uncle did.

"Uncle John," I said in a raspy voice.

Uncle John turned around in surprise.

"You're up," he said

"Really? I almost died and all you can say is you're up?"

"Um, do you want some water?"

"Sure." I said still unwilling to move.

The other woman was looking at me. She had blue eyes and blond hair. I stared at her in awe, their was something weird about her, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I closed my eyes to go back asleep, but I still felt her gaze on me.

"Hello, Destiny," she said

I almost jumped out of my skin when I heard her voice.

"Um, hello," I said,

"Your Uncle John tells me you're quite the young lady."

"Really now?" I asked.

"What?"

"My uncle, talking about me other than to say I'm a nuisance? You obviously don't know him that well."

I tried to get up, but I couldn't. My side hurt so bad that I almost fell off the couch.

"Ah! Ow ow ow." I said through welling tears

"Don't try and get up, just relax."

I looked down at my stomach and immediately remembered I had gotten shot. I was still wearing the hospital gown, which had blood all over it. I looked at it in horror, I had lost a lot of blood.

"We didn't want to change your clothes. We figured you would rather do that yourself."

My uncle walked back into the room with a glass of water with ice in it. When he extended his arm to give me my glass of water, there was a bandage in the crook of his arm.

"Uncle John what happened to your arm?"

"You lost a lot of blood, so I gave you some of mine."

"You mean, your blood is in my body.'

"Yes."

"Great.  That's...great."

We all sat in silence as I drank my water. Uncle John and I made eye contact a couple times, but he quickly diverted his gaze.
