My body is my temple.
These words ring in my ears as a form of body positivity.
But I assure you, it's bullshit.
It's words designed to make people feel more comfortable in their bodies.
Except whoever is in charge of my temple has done it wrong.
As I am the goddess it is in dedication to, not the god society has confused it with.
I have struggled to right the flaws in my temple, just as many of us do.
Medicine.
Surgery.
Hope.
My body is not a temple.
It's a body.
It's always gonna be a body.
But nevertheless you are not to worship the temple of a goddess, rather the goddess herself.
The prevalence of the god is not limited to their temple.
For I am a force that said:
See me for the goddess I am,
Not the god people thought I was going to be.
