Love on different sides

Chapter 1

My alarm rang twice. I didn't want to get out of bed, because I was tired. I was hoping that me moving to Ontario was just a bad dream. Yet it wasn't. I was in a new room, and had new stuff. I finally got out of bed when my mom told me to come down stairs. 

- Honey! Your breakfast is ready!

- I'm coming, mom!

When it comes to my mom, I feel like the luckiest daughter alive. She is the best. She's always been there for me when I was troubled. She had a total meltdown, last year, when my dad died. He died of prostate cancer. Which is weird, because we don't have that kind of thing in our family. 

- Katy, wow! You look nice! 

- Thanks, mom, you look great too, thank you for the pancakes!

My mom noticed that I wasn't entirely happy. She was right. I wasn't.

- What's wrong, sweetie? You don't seem in your plate?

- Nothing, ma. I'm fine, it's just...

- What?

- Look, I understand why we moved here, okay? I just.. I don't know if it's going to work. I'll miss my friends, and Bray and...

She immediatly interrupted me.  She asked me a simple question, that I couldn't invent excuse because the answer was right into my face.

- Is this really because of your friends and Bray? Or is it because of Tristan?

I started to mumble, but I said yes. Tristan is my boyfriend, we've been together for three years straight. 

- I'm scared, mom! We agreed to go see each other one a month, but... What if it doesn't work? 

Then suddenly, my mom gave me a gentle kiss on the cheek and told me that everything was going to be fine. To not worry. I only said ''yes of course'' because I didn't want to be dramatic. I was worried. This guy was rated one of the most cute guys in my old high school. Plenty of girls could flirt with him while i'm gone. But he promised that I'm the only girl in his world, that he would never cheat on me, before I left. After those thoughts, I was on my way to my new school. Here I come!
