The season was finally over and I could not be more excited. While the first few weeks of the postseason sucked because Andrew was in a slump, I am so happy I can spend more time with him. I finish doing my makeup and I put my brown hair in a bun. Andrew is picking me up to take me to an amusement park that just recently opened up in a suburb of Chicago and I could not think of a better way to start the summer. Churros, Ferris wheels, bumper cars, and Andrew. All the things you could ever need in life. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on the door and I sprinted to go answer it. "Shawzy!" I squealed as a flung my arms around his neck and he twirled me around. "Amanda!!" he yelled trying to balance me. "You ready to go babe?" he giggled and kissed me on the forehead. "Heck yeah! let's do this boo!" He then grabbed my hand and pulled me to his car. Where he opened the door for me and helped me get in. "why thank you kind sir" I said in the most posh voice I could work up. "no problem fair lady" he said as he kissed my hand and I responded with a chuckle. He shut my door and ran around to the drivers side and got in. "We're going to a fun fair! A fun fun fair! Where fun things happen!!" Andrew sang as I was dying with laughter. "Technically my dear it is an amusement park, not a fun fair."
"Tough! You'll listen to my fun fair song and like it gosh darn it!" Andrew's goofiness sent me into another fit of giggles and I didn't even notice he had pulled out of the parking lot until about 5 minutes later. "Hey Andrew."
"Yes my love?"
"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we.."
"NO Amanda, we are not there yet."
"That's a shame."
"We'll be there in about 10 minutes."
TEN MINUTE TIME SKIP
"Woah." I gasped as the fluorescent lights filled my sight. I could hear the screams of the people on a roller coaster and the laughter coming from the people eating cotton candy with their friends. Andrew parked the car and I bolted out and headed straight for the ticket booth. I ran so fast that I had to wait about 2 minutes for Andrew to meet me in line. "Amanda... how can you run so fast." Andrew said trying to gasp for air.
"I'm magic." I responded with a dead serious look on my face. "Now let's go buy tickets!" We finally got to the front of the line and I was bursting with excitement. "How many tickets would you like?" the clerk said with the most unenthusiastic look I've ever seen on his face. I don't blame him though, he has to see all these people have a great time while he is stuck in here. "uhh... 48 is fine" I replied and I took out my wallet to pay. "Babe what are you doing?" Andrew looked at me with a look of confusion on his face. "What do you mean what am I doing?"
"I'm paying today."
"Nuh-uh Shawzy not today."
"yea-ha"
"Nuh-uh"
"yea-ha"
"Nuh-uh"
"yea..."
"JUST LET THE MAN PAY FOR YOU LADY" the ticket clerk yelled and Andrew grabbed the tickets, dropped his money on the table, and ran away with me. "What do you want to do first?" he asked me as we walked into the fair. "I don't know. Maybe the swings?" I replied with a shrug.
"Whatever you want princess." He replied with a look admiration as he looked down at me and I looked back up at him. We proceeded towards the swings and once we rode them we went on a roller coaster a couple times. The roller coaster was an upside down roller coaster and had a lot of high drops so we screamed quite a bit. So much so that this dad who was on with his kid turned around and looked at us the end and gave us the dirtiest look I've ever seen. After that our limbs felt like jello so we went to go eat. I had a churro and hot dog (A/N: When the islanders where still at the coli, I lived off of hot dogs, churros, and pretzels. Fun fact.) and Andrew had a cheeseburger and French fries. We waited around and played some games while digesting our food. Andrew won me a gigantic panda bear :). ITS SO CUTE! After we thought our food was digested there was an announcement that said, "ladies and gentlemen! Welcome and we hope you'll join us for our fireworks display in roughly 5 minutes." Andrew and I upon hearing this slowly turned to one another and said, "Ferris Wheel." Which led us to bolt to the huge wheel that was flashing several different colored lights. We waited online and got on just as the fireworks were about to start. The Ferris wheel went around a few times and towards the end of the beautiful fireworks show stopped while we were at the tippy top. Beautiful fireworks of gold, red, white, blue, green, and purple lit up. Right at the finale I turned to look at Andrew and he turned to look at me and we just stared into each other's eyes. Right before the last firework we slowly lent in and kissed. The fireworks in the sky weren't the only fireworks tonight. After 2 minutes of chatting/cuddling the Ferris wheel moved again and we hopped off and headed for Andrew's car. "I had so much fun tonight Andrew." I said to him
"I had fun too Amanda."
"I can't wait to do this again." I seriously can't wait.
