Stories (prologue? sneak peek? Thing I'll give up on?)

The [insert name here] tribe and the [other name goes here] tribe have been at war for generations. In fact, they have been at war since before the Igniting, the date that marked the beginning of written history. Stories of the past travel throughout time, and even sometimes carry into other worlds. These other worlds tell the same stories of this worlds history as legends or fairy tales. So, where do we begin? These two tribes have been around since time itself. Where could we ever find such a thing as freedom from the wrath or liberation from the everlasting hatred?  Well, that I can't answer. Yet.

 The [inserts] has always refrained from naming their children until they earned their own name by doing something great, or found their rank in the Blood Divisions. Blood Divisions were groups within the tribe which were most compatible due to them sharing the same color blood. Some blood is more responsive than others, like golden or silver blood, while others barely respond to each other at all, for example: red blood. The Divisions decided rank and ultimately a person's place in society. Soon this tribe grew into a thriving city where the ranks were clearly seen. The order of blood is as follows from least important to most: brown, multi-color(10+ color, 9, 8, and so on) red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, silver, and gold. The Goldbloods are royalty and nobility and Silverbloods are high-ranking military officers. The Brownbloods and Multibloods are in the worst states of poverty and the reds are only slightly better. If one was born from red or brown blooded parents and had purple blood, the child would be taken away from the parents and moved into a purpleblood family shortly after the discovery. However, if, heaven forbid, the child of a Silverblood were born a multiblood, the child would be tossed into the slums and the parents forbidden to have children ever again. Though, the strangest part is, the parents don't tend to mind in the case of the higher bloods.

The [others] on the other hand, name their children based on where they were or when they were born. There are five different groups in the tribe. The hunters, the crafters, the military, the royalty, and the musicians. Hunters, crafters, and military are all mostly self explanatory, but what about the musicians? Musicians include those who make music and those who dance. Dancers are the most important part of any holiday or battle victory. Dances are never repeated, and dancing is believed to be linked to the soul. A person's soul determines their part in society. Silver souls are royalty, purple souls are dancers, red souls are soldiers, green souls are merchants, and yellow souls are crafters. 

This story? Well let's put it this way. This is the story of a small child with golden blood and a purple soul.
