High School: Tech Days and Orientation (Catching You Up Chapter 1)

So I need to catch you guys up first. So Hi, I'm Lex, I'm a freshman in high school. There's a lot going on in my life. I need to catch you guys up on everything. It might take a while. But let's get started. 

Ok so the high school I go to had these tech days. It's two days where you come in and you get your laptop and you learn a little about them, and the school's laptop policy. Then we had orientation where we found out our homerooms, lockers, and schedules. 

On the second tech day, there was an incident with my dad in the car. On the way there. I'll talk about that in another chapter. Anyways, when he dropped me off I was really upset. I wanted to just rant to my best friend. But when I walked in, she introduced me to someone. Her name is Abby. Now, I'm a huge reader. I love to read. And a lot of my friends liked to read, but don't read anywhere near the amount that I do. Abby. Abby was a reader who read as much, more than I do. She read and was obsessed with all the same series. We became friends. But we couldn't talk for long because we had to go to our classrooms, and we were in different ones. The next day was orientation. We had to sit in our homeroom groups. I was alone until I saw a girl who looked a lot like Abby walk up and sit down with our homeroom. She looked like Abby, but I'm bad with names and faces. But it didn't take long to discover that this was indeed her. It was Abby. My reader. We hung out all day. I found out she read one of the series that I really wanted to read, Throne of Glass. I was so excited. We found out that we had two classes together. That was exciting too. I had a lot of fun, and she and I got really close. That was the end of orientation. Things with Abby progress interestingly throughout the year.
