chapter one: LARRY

I hear the bell ring in my last period class. Math.
"Bye have a great day!" My math teacher, Mrs.Connie, says.
"Bye Mrs.Connie." I say leaving
I make my way around everyone and open my locker and the someone kinda slams into the locker and I jump. I look over to see me crush, and locker neighbor (😂), Carl Grimes.
"uh are you okay?" I ask.
"yea it's just stupid jerks." he says opening his locker.
"Emma is it?"
"Yea. I heard about your dad, I'm sorry." I say pushing a strand of blonde hair behind my ear.
You see Carls dad got shot while he was in a car chase. His dad is a police officer.
"It's okay." He says his crystle blue eyes tearing up his eyes.
"Well if you need someone to talk to or wanna hang out heres my number." I say writing down my number on a peice of paper.
"Thanks." he says.
"Sure." I say, smiling.
"Well I need to go." I say closing getting my skate board, which surprisingly fit inside my locker, out then closing my locker.
"Bye Em." He says
"Bye Carl." I say and leave.
Once I get outside I put my skate board down and plug my ear buds in putting on Victorious by Panic! At the disco.

Once I get home I make me some noofles and sit at the island which is facing the window. Then I see my neighbor Larry running across the street like something is chasing him. I debate in my mind weither or not to yell out YO LARRY!!! but decide not to. Then I see something come after him. I stand up and look out the window. Then the thing bites into him. My eyes widen and I immediately spring into action. I close all the blinds and lock the windows and doors. I run to the phone and try calling my parents who are on a buisness trip to Savannah but the lines are busy. I hang up and take a peak outside. Now they are everywhere. Thank God my dad put in that emergency generator. Why did he put it in? No idea.
Then Carl comes across my mind.
Carl please be safe.
