Auntie Wanda's house was the epitome of of everything 70's. On the outside it fit in so well with the other quiet suburban homes on her street. It was a modest one story home. On the inside was a total different story, Aunt Wanda's taste was in complete contrast to her sisters. She'd just had what used to be beautiful oak floors replaced with thick green shag carpet throughout the entire home. It was the home's last normal feature, now all hope was gone. The wallpaper in each room represented her wild, psychedelic personality. She was still a good person through, regardless of her taste. Wanda did so many good deeds for people nobody could keep count. She was always stretching her neck out to help someone in need even if the rest of the family didn't approve. For the past few years she'd been letting Andre's homeless fried stay there. At first the whole family objected to it, letting a stranger into her home seemed like a dangerous idea to everyone even Licia's mother. Licia thought so to that is until she net the stranger, Prince was his name. He was a short, strange little guy and only one year older than her like Andre. Out of the whole time he'd been staying with her cousin he hadn't said more than two words to her. She couldn't see him posing any threat. He was so short even shorter than her. On the way to Aunt Wanda's, Licia found herself wondering had he'd grown art all since the last time she'd saw him. Apparently Auntie and Prince's mom had some kind of agreement, a living arrangement of sorts. Weird.

"I just don't know...where is his mama anyway? Jackie asked incredulously.

They'd just made it to Wanda's house. Every weekend Jackie visited her sister to gossip, cackle and more. They'd been carrying on like this for years, since before she was born. It felt like years since Licia had joined them, she was usually out with Stuart or Patrice. As she sat there listening to the two sisters go on and on, nostalgia hit her.

Auntie Wanda was pouring up a margarita into a tall glass as usual, she kept offering Jackie a glass and Jackie kept refusing. Wanda knew her sister hadn't drank since she'd found Jesus, but that wouldn't stop her from asking.

"She's fine with it, how many times I gotta tell everybody that..." she laughed taking a sip. "Really she insisted, said he gave her to many problems..." She said casually.

"Well...? " Jackie leaned up in her seat.

"What?"

"Has he given you any problems?"

"No, girl. Sometimes I forget he's here. He's nice to, mops, sweeps, ya know...pretty much all the stuff I wish Andre and Tracy would do."

Jackie shook her her head in disapproval. "Uh Uh, I'm all for helping people out, but it's been damn near three years...three."

They heard the front door open and creep close from the hallway, bringing a slight breeze with it. All of them turned to peer through the archway but saw nothing. Eventually Prince came, walking directly past the kitchen, where they were. He briefly glanced in, and gave a awkward smile. He was still a very short guy but his afro was at least 10 inches off his head. He wore a bright orange blazer, khakis and huge brown platforms that made him look a little taller than he was. He continued to bop down the narrow hallway until they could see him no more.
