Next Door Neighbors

She was just about to open the front door to her house when two cars pulled over at the house next door. No one has ever moved in over there since five years now. Music was blasting from the car behind the black Honda. A thin white blond poped out of the drivers seat and opened the back door. A little girl around five years jumped out of the car dragging a grey teddy behind her. She resembled my sister,Katie. Katie loved Teddys. She had a collection of Teddys in her chest that mom gave her but ever since she and dad divorced Katie had stopped collecting. Her smiles no longer reaches her eyes and she hardly ever speaks. She doesn't leave her room apart from going to school or getting something to eat. But I couldn't judge because I hardly ever go out of my room too. Mo--- I mean Carol made a greater change than us. She goes out often , throw big parties, smoke and sleep with her boyfriends at nights which meant Katie and I were on our own. My family is not the kind you think it would be in fact it was torn apart since 3 years now. And those three years made me realize something, that I'll do whatever it takes to make Katie happy even if I have to sacrifice for it I'm willing to take that risk. Whatever it takes I repeated and smiled. I opened my front door threw a last glance at my new neighbors packing up their boxes inside before stepping in my house quietly.
