prologue

blake:

"i don't think this was a good idea," cameron started, sipping on the tin can that withheld soda.

"no, really?" hunter said sarcastically, acting astonished.

"shut up, hunter," i said, gripping unto the metal bar next to the rusty ladder i'm about to climb.

"you know, blake, next time you choose a place to work, maybe you should choose a spot, maybe, closer to the ground?" brandon suggested, checking to make sure all the supplies we needed were in the green leather bag of my brothers.

"would you guys stop complaining? it's been a while since blake got out, and you guys are just encouraging him to just be completely unsocial and not get out if the house again," my brother, austin, scoffed.

carter nodded in agreement.

"sorry," brandon mumbled.

hunter rolled his eyes, and got ready to climb the old cold ladder.

"you know, the view of los angeles is great right here," i started, ignoring all the mumbled cursing from the asshole himself, hunter rowland.

i don't know what ever happened to hunter. i mean, we've been friends for a long time, i should know what's up. but, then i started my little "phase". i don't want to fully call it depression, because that is simply what i don't want to believe.

"give me the blue can," i told brandon, still gazing at the beautiful city sight before me.

"aye, hit me up with one too," carter said, barely getting on top of the building.

brandon handed carter a can and we faced the boring, white wall.

"leggo," carter announced.
