Prologue

I remember it like it was yesterday. The prince was so cheerful. Heh heh. He adored that lake so much. He didn't want to leave, and neither did I. The Lily pads just kept dancing slowly above the dark blue reflecting water. Above the glowing stars shine as bright as his smile. It was such a beautiful sight. He then shouted my name.
"Come on, lets crave our names into the tallest tree!"
"I never knew you'd be the out going one here," I called back with a smirk, while following him by the tree. I grabbed him a small stick with a sharp point at the end, perfect for craving the tree with our names. He took it out from my pale colored hand, and craved both of our names. We started laughing historically for some reason. Then, out of nowhere, he lifted the stick up again with his right hand, and outside of our names, he has drawn a heart. Moments later, he then went back to sloppy yet heart-warming hand writing as below the heart he wrote "Best friends forever."
I was so confused. We have only been close for two days, and he already considers me as his Best friend? This was certainly new. He is a prince, I am a witch. How could the two of us be friends? Then again, of all my 18 years of living....
The Prince was the only one that made me smile....
