A/N - Hello! I don't really know what this but I had a prompt and I ended up writing all of this on the notes in my phone. Yeah.
Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go...
I had never seen so much snow in my life. It fell down in thick sheets of white and coated every surface until nothing was recognizable. The sky was grayer than what it would be for a thunder storm and the wind had picked up considerably in the last half an hour - sending the blanket of white fluff in every direction.
Someone far down on the road had decided to venture out of the confines of their house and fight their way through the mounds of snow. Their ankles disappeared with their shins as they walked along, their hair and scarf whipping around their face while their nose and cheeks went pink and then bright red within seconds.
"It looks freezing out there." I spoke. "I really don't think the buses will still be running. Should I try for an uber?"
"If the buses aren't running, I seriously doubt any über driver will want to go out in this." Noah appeared at my side and watched the person struggling along - what would be - the pavement with me. He let out a soft chuckle.
I sighed and spun back around on the window seat, unwinding my scarf from my neck. Noah went back to sit on the sofa, plopping his feet up on the coffee table over the books we had previously been indulged in studying.
"You'll just have to hang out with me a little while longer, little one. Because if you decide to go out in that, I'm going to have to go with you and I really hate the cold." He shuddered and sent me a horrified look. My stomach flipped. "Just keep that in mind."
"I really don't want to impose, though." I bit my lip and looked back out the window, hoping that in the past ten seconds since last looking the snow would have miraculously stopped. "You signed up for a study session, not a sleepover."
"I'm not opposed to a sleepover." Noah smirked and I instantly regretted my wording. His bright eyes were playful and mischievous. "Although, I'd have a few other ideas rather than sleep."
I groaned and chucked the pillow next to me directly at his face. He dodged it with ease and chuckled happily, not phased or even slightly concerned. Meanwhile, my cheeks had flamed hotter than the crackling fire that Noah went to stoke up again.
I can't remember when I started liking Noah Pearson. It came as naturally as breathing would, and yet, as much of a struggle as a twenty kilometer run. His good looks and charm had practically every girl at our college drawling over him and batting their eyelashes to get his attention. Some succeed, some don't. Either way, most of them leave heartbroken in the end. He's never in a relationship for long and doesn't seem bothered when they all inevitably end.
We had only started talking at the start of the school year because we had the same early morning lecture with Mr Rodgers. Before that, my crush had been blossoming from afar but as soon as he set those gorgeous blue eyes on me and continued to sit next to me every day, it was a full blown flower consuming me entirely and making me just as pathetic as all of his other followers.
Noah's a walking, talking, cliche and I had fallen easily into his trap of broad shoulders, tight jawline and warming eyes. His personality only made him better looking.
So, when he asked me a week ago to help him study, you could imagine my complete elation mixed with absolute terror - and also confusion, because as far as I was aware, he really didn't seem to be struggling in class.
"Do you want a hot chocolate?" Noah piped up. His flat was small and the living room was attached with the kitchen. He had already placed out two cups and was looking through the pantry for the item in question.
