You lay awake listening to the sound of rain battering against your window. You look at your (clock/watch/phone) and sigh. 10:16, I should really try to sleep. You finally drift off, relaxed by the sound of rain battering against your window. Unknown to you, as your conscious signs off and your subconscious takes hold, a shadow flits across the room then disappears, as if it wasn't really there.

You had only been asleep for only a few minutes before you jolt awake. You realise quickly that something is wrong. You lie in your bed, hardly breathing, trying to work out woke you up. Your house creaks, the sound magnified by the silence.
This wasn't unusual, your house creaked alot, but your gut was telling you that none of this was normal.

Creak. There it was again! Your body stiffened and you close your eyes as you sense that someone, something, is outside your door. Shaking, you hear your door handle turn, ever so slowly, ever so slightly, until the door was wide open.
You open one eye slightly and look, carefully, at the door. You stifle a scream. A muscular silhouette of a man fills the doorway. This isn't what makes you nearly scream however. H-his EYES. WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIS EYES!? Where the figures eyes should be, there were two red, glowing, lights. OH GOD! WHAT IS HE? You scream inside your head. As soon as the thoughts reach your head he turns quickly to you, staring at your face. He didn't even move, but suddenly he was above you, a hand pressed roughly against your mouth. "Don't scream yet," he says with a voice as cool as the moonlight, as dark and mysterious as the velvet sky outside. "I haven't even started."
