It was June 7, 1995, The only thing I recall from that  cloudy, dim and thick murky aired  day was sadness as we the Dunn family  left the cozy small yet cheerful county of Fayetteville, GA . We finished packing boxes and left for South Korea. Of course it wasn't horrible to grow up here in Korea it was the sad energy that lingers in my mind from that day. The fact I can't find out why this almost everlasting sad feeling lingering in my mind frightens me.

Present Day :
" So, what collage are you going to ani?" Asked my seemingly curious little sister Sophie." I am thinking about going to Emory like Brenna , because I have the qualifications to , and it is a amazing school. With the best taco place so, yeah...," I replied " Ugh, you are too much of a smarty pants !" She replied. " Wait isn't that in Georgia? " she asked coming to her senses. " Yeah, Why? " I asked.
" Mady you know how mom and dad feel about America now .We left because of....." she cut off mid sentence as our mother somehow without being noticed covered her mouth. " Why Emory ? " my mom asked. " Because I miss our family don't you? Mom, I know how you feel ,but I would like to go see everyone again! " I replied in a snap. " No, you are NOT going back to Georgia! "  mom's face turning red. " WHY?, WHY CAN'T I GO BACK ?WHY? " yelled out of frustration.
" Because...." she said lowering her voice. " Because... Why? " I said almost at whispering tone. Mom was silent as she removed her hand from Sophie's mouth." Because I ...... I can't tell you!" She screamed. " You know what I am done,Mom I am leaving and I Am going to Emory wether you like it or not! " I snapped out of anger . I ran into my room and  started to pack up a few things then shoved all of it into a dusty, black and polka - dotted suit case. Then I  left for my best friend Joshua's house.

Driving to his house was pure hell but it was worth it. It was 5:30 when I got there. He answered the door in within me knocking two or three times.  It was pretty cold out side that night and as soon as he answered the door he could tell I was freezing , and not because I didn't have a jacket. " Hey Mads! Wassup! " Josh said. " Hey man would you mind if I crashed here for a while ? " I asked hoping that he would say yes in my mind. " Yeah, sure come in! " he said happily. " Thanks so much! you don't know how much I need this. " I said under my breath. Josh shut the door behind me. Joshua has been my best friend since the beginning of time.  When we first moved to Korea Joshua was the one to introduce me to the new school and some things that were a little different in Korea than in schools and social differences. He made me feel welcome. Obviously we became friends quickly. Not too long after that his parents died in a fire but he managed to escapes smoldering house. He lived with our family for a while after that so he is like a brother to me. " So, what happened ? " he asked just to break the silence. " Well you know how I told you I want to go to Emory my mom didn't take the news well and we got into a fight.." I answered his question. " So, you came here. " he finished my story. " Yeah.." it was silence for about five minutes. Then as usual he cracked some really cheesy joke and we just started talking and ended up talking for at least two hours then after that we went to hit the sack.
