A Phoenix's Return : The City of Lights

Prologue

"Master are you sure she's the right person to give this power to?" The little kwami asked, Flying around his masters head. "No, but our enemy grows stronger by the day, we must act quickly," The master replied, turning the needle of a record player, opening a hidden compartment. He stroked the red and black Chinese box then put his bracelet to it. The small, green turtle charm glowed with the bright light which filled the room. The box glowed slightly then opened. The light died revealing different colored sections with a small piece of jewelry on it. In the middle was a circle Yin and Yang symbol which protruded upward. The master pressed the small circles in each, opening another compartment. In this one, the space was painted with colors of the flame. A choker lay out in the middle. The black leather necklace was adorned with a small charm: A feather. The stock was red which expanded out to the black metallic feather. He carefully lifted it up with the tips of his old, nimble fingers. The small, green kwami flew over and touched the charm lightly," how do you plan to test this girl to deem her worthy?" The master pondered this been answered," by having her save my other two students." The kwami sighed," I trust you master, but even if she's given this power, what if she turns?" " Fiammenta would never let her turn." " I suppose," he replied, " but you and I both know that our enemy you won't bow down without a fight. What if she can't defeat him?" The master troubled this over, then carried the choker over to the window. He looked at his kwami , Looked down at the charm. His silver eyes looked out at his view of the Eiffel Tower and replied," Then the gods help us all."
