The Clearing                                  part 0.2 is ready if people like it.

The fire roared loudly comforting the men surrounding the flames, it's light shimmered upon the cliff side and back. As the entire 16 soldiers danced deep into the ever threatening night, their wits came not long after. Lord Tallas and the majority of his travel party slept inside the cave these 16 were on guard duty. They smuggled wine and Dragen mead from the supply carts and thus their demise began. Four men remained awake through the night, the four awake were Garret the acclaimed leader by the others choice, Barus Garrets friend, Gregoar the Drunk from Jatark, Fllimis the stranger from across the Cetra sea and Sesa the war maiden.

"You've had a bit too much of northern mead for your taste" exclaimed Gregoar talking to Sesa.

"You!, you're a fat lump of, you you're a" she was rudely interrupted by her misplaced feet finding their way to a tree stump. She fell with a loud thump

"ahh! Help me you fool! I think I broke my leg"

Garret pulled Barus with a sigh and a faint hint of a smile down to help him. Barus took her under one shoulder and Garret took the other

"stop squirming will ya" muttered Barus as they dragged her up the hill edge leaving a dirt trail in the night. Once they got her up next to the fire she laid down and started sleeping she was in a restless look not with a hand under her head or something of that sorts she was just laid there, sleeping. As Gregoar was gulping his drink Barus went to Fllimis and started conversation

"where are you from then"

he said in a talkative and genuine as possible manner kneeling so he was at equal heights.

"Don't know "Fllimis replied in quiet neutral voice. Garrets ears were pricked for Barus response but Barus was deciding with himself whether he felt sympathy for him or anger he sat back down quietly.

"Clear night, Neptune shining brightly, that mean we'll find good fortune in the near future" said Barus in a distinctive manner to that Gregoar replied with a screwed up and angered face

"like hell we are! We've had nothing but bad luck since we joined up on Tallas' party we should ditch them at the next village" Garret replied with a hint of wear and a tired drooped face falling across his eyes like a cliff edge biding its time before it falls.

"the next village is the last village of the journey and it's a two day trek from here we should stay with them to collect the coin as well" Gregoar gave a mixture of a smile and a frown to this news,

"aye, but it's poor coin for the work I nearly broke me back carting this wine, though I'm not one to complain I wouldn't know what to do if we didn't have it." Barus snapped towards Gregoar saying

"you always have to try at an argument don't you? Anyway I think we should take Sesa's' advice and put our bodies to rest what do you think Garret?" Garret replied half-heartedly as part of his mind was already asleep.

"yeah, yeah that's best, night" and slunk to the ground wriggled into his furs and closed his eyes.

The next morning the land was clearer and darkness didn't take control of the sky, the sun was beaming brightly through some faint clouds and the fire they previously surrounded was burnt to ash during the night. The entrance to the cave where the lord and the rest of the guard remained was surrounded by woods with dead stumps near the entrance which were used as firewood and past the light wood which clung to a smoothly descending hill from the cave and onto well-kept fields beyond on level plains. At the mouth of the cave there were seventeen men and two women preparing to leave for a journey. Their stood general Tallas and a noblewoman named Yadira preparing their horses Tallas' horse was a large masculine war horse with white hooves gradually fading to black as it crept up the legs, the hind legs were riddled with defined muscles and stood a considerable height higher then Yadira's horse which has a sleeker body and a brown skin with an off white mane, it radiated light from the glossy coat, the snout was a splotchy white.
