Isn't it enough that I was there for you?
I listened when no one else would
I tried to help
When you were down
Isn't it enough that I yearn for you.
My heart flutters
But your gone
Stolen by the wind
I want so desperately to be the one
But I'm not
And never will be
I'm not perfect
Even though I try to be
While I lay here and cry
You laugh
Unknowing
I ask, constantly, why?
Why am I not good enough
Why do I always fail
Why can't I be perfect,
The one you idolize-like I do you?
It's hard to love yourself
When no one else will,
It's hard to stay strong
When everyone needs you to,
It's hard to be there
When no ones ever there for you
And I cry
Forever knowing
I'm not good enough
For you.
