Hurt. That is the only word I have for my childhood. I mean, I'm know twenty - two now but the emotion still stays burrowed in my heart. Nobody appreciated me for who I really were, my friends, my enemies, and all the people in - between. I felt lost, isolated and always depressed.

I'm Sophia Lloyd, I'm twenty two years old, and I'm gay. My partner, Laura, Is happily in love with me and I'm extremely glad to say that I fall in love with her a little more each day. We're literally like soulmates and it wouldn't be possible to tell you how much I would struggle without her gorgeous blue eyes staring at me with love and intent. We met in a nightclub, and as soon as I clapped eyes on her, I knew she was the one. She had beautiful, long, swishy blonde hair scraped off her face by a hot pink flower headband. She was dressed in a long black maxi dress with silver sequins embellished along the top. She was accompanied by a little clutch bag and stilettoes matching her headband and dark black eyeliner flicking from her eyes. She was truly beautiful.

Obviously, being gay, I was unsure whether she would find any interest in me or girls full stop. I approached her, just looking for a friend maybe. She looked at me, and a flicker of doubt brushed my brain. Would she like me? I was small with a plump figure, and understandably I was shy, which considering the circumstances of my childhood, was no surprise. I had light brown hair, flowing down to just below my ribs, with my sides taken back to the back of my huge head and pinned with a diamonte silver clip. I was dressed in a navy playsuit with a white collar. I was carrying a white clutch bag and silver pumps from Primark.

I worked as a Family Lawyer, which meant at times, I had to deal with idiots that didn't believe in homosexuality. Obviously, I was affected by it, but over time I learnt to deal with it. From it, I didn't earn a lot of money and therefore didn't shop in any designer shops (in fact River Island is about as designer as I get) and had learnt to live with cheap crap.

Keep reading to find out how Sophia's date goes. Please comment and thank you xx
