Seconds slip into minutes like sand through my fingers as I watch the orange flames crack front of me. The threatening grip of the fire erges the crowd to pull away while Daisy leads me through the sea of students.
Finally I could see the comfort of familiar faces. My form huddled in an abstract circle were creating dim mumbling sound making everyone feel uneasy. I then saw Sophia wrapped in her coat looking around aimlessly. Whether it was my brain trying to mask the sense of disaster or just seeing the face I saw everyday a blanket of illusion was pulled over the fire and for a split second normality was with me. I proceeded towards her and once close enough for her to notice me our eyes met. Though to me this was a relief I could see a tear form in her eye. It was strange because as she saw me it was like a shadow of hope was lifted and I knew something was wrong. My pace became quicker and though this was, it felt like hours before I was there.
