It was Volcano. With a Dahl grip and Jakobs barrel, it was a mighty-fine gun. And definitly worth the last hour of farming The Warrior. I held it before me and placed the stock to my shoulder. Maliwan stock, not the best but okay for a weapon based entirely on elemental damage. I dropped into a crouch and with speed, aimed at a rakk circling the Cavern of The Warrior. I feathered the trigger and a bullet of solid fire leapt from the muzzle, blasting the rakk into fiery peices. A good shot assassin/ but a challenge is needed/ where to next?
I stood, straight-backed and empowering, brushed the dirt from the knees of my sneak suit and began to move. A stack of eriduim caught my eye, under the wing-like appendage protuding from The Warrior's body, and I stooped to pick it up. Four is all I need/ two goals in an hour/ my ammo upgrade nears. I slipped my newly obtained Volcano, along with the eriduim, into my inventory and pulled out a large western Jakobs' pistol. It was less bulky than my sniper rifle but just as deadly. I made it to the fast travel point and keyed in the co-ordinates for Lynchwood. I needed to try out my new firearm and on who better than the fleshies of Lynchwood?
I spawned and instantly droped into a crouch, Volcano already out and a bullet in the chamber. Pele humbly request a sacrifice/ if it's not too much trouble/ and a sacrifice she shall get. I sneaked down stairs and lingered at the door. There's the familiar rumble of the Lynchwood train speeding beneath me and I took a breath. Calm before the storm/ if on the bandits knew/ what i have in store for them. Out of my pocket a pulled three small, purple singularity grenade, waited, then threw them all out the door at the same time. I heared the vwoooop of each grenade go off and the pulsating purple glow lights the area. I headed instantly into sneak mode, flickering out of this existence and entering my own. I sped up the stairs to the left and onto a rooftop, on the traintracks below I saw the crowd of bandits, pulled together by the gravity of the singularities. With numbers seemingly slowly ticking over infront of my visor, I am into the middle of the pack and fired. The flaming round hit a bruiser who instantly exploded into fire. But the interesting thing about this particular sniper is the characteristic of when you shoot something, everything around it catches fire too. And I watched as every single bandit, in all about twenty of them, lit up like bonfires and the aroma of melted flesh filled me with a sence of satisfaction.
"Volcano" I grunted, placing the particular weapon on the digi-table within the Crimson Raiders' Headquarters. Lilith looked up breifly, "Oh, yeah? Coool... aasss..." She trailed of at she returned to whatever she was doing on the tablet she had across her knees. "In the vault if you want it." The vault was a 'communal chest' for the Vault Hunters, where everybody put the weapons, shields, relics, etcetera they don't want or can't fit into their inventory. As I opened the blast-proof door of the already over-full vault, a crowd of guns shower the floor. I tossed the Volcano onto the pile and pushed it all back in. "The sheild, the sham/ who's the lucky person/ who must've farmed Bnk3r for hours?" "Huh?" Lilith muttered "You know I have no idea what you mean when you speak in that weird shit."
"Yes, sorry. I forget..."
Before I could stop it, my sneak suit flashed a sad face emoji over my face mask. I hate it when it shows my emotions. I smacked the side of my helmet and grumbled something along the lines of: "Broken..." I left the room at that and nearly slammed straight into Brick. "'Sup Slab." I fist-bump his waiting hand awkwardly and leave. But not before I heard Brick grunt under his breath: "Fuckin' weirdo."
I'm the outcast of the group, I'm nothing like the others. They're all explosions, badassery and explosions. Whereas I seem to be more methodical, hidden and insecure. The Vault Hunters don't even know if I'm human.
The Volcano wasn't my type, while fun, it doesn't fulfil my style. Also it was Maliwan so fuck it. I always find my way back to my Skookum Hawkeye. A seraph sniper. With an 11.6x zoom and an amazing 580% critical hit damage, it was an impressive weapon. Eye sartain -finger lightning - aim, death- great warrior soon. No Deerslayer - Hawkeye -Hawkeye - Hawkeye. Shake hand. Plus it was a Jakobs.
I was up on the campsite in the Highlands, I often come here for many reasons. Not only because I like easter eggs and rainbows but because it was hidden and gave me time to think.
I absently scoped a stalker that was strolling in the sun. The 11.6x zoom was impressive, I could count the scales... or leather... or whatever it was made of, from the ledge I was at. The gun cracked and the kickback ripped at my shoulder but I held it down. The round smashed into the skull of the lone stalker and instantly killed it. A few stacks of currency flew out of it's corpse but I didn't move. Brooding is senseless/ it is a weakness in itself/ sober up, face reality. I internally kicked myself: Man up, cunt. There was a thud behind me and the rustle of clothes as the object behind me rolled to decrease the groundshock. "If you're trying for stealth/ you fail poorly/ learn from the master."
"Sorry, you just looked lonely" said Gaige. She tryed to place a hand on my shoulder but her hand went straight through it. The decoy dissapated and I reappeared behind her. "Relflex" I said sheepishly. "Yeah, it's fine. Are you okay? You've been acting... more silent than usual..."
"I got the Volcano today." I hate talking about emotions, especially when theyre my own. "Ah, okay. But seriously, Zer0... are you okay?"
I nod vigorously "Never been better/ I am as good as... Okay, I feel like shit."
Gaige smiled, in a 'I know' sort of way. I just then noticed her smile was incredibly cute but shook it out of my head. "If you don't want to talk, we don't have to. But I just thought you might want to"
"Emotions are my own/ it is none of your buisiness to pry/ go home"
Gaige sniffed. "Fuck you! You are just as weird as they say. I beleived in you, but you won't even let me help" She jumped from the ledge crying and I instantly felt bad.
