Justin's pov

I was helping my father find a part for an old woman because her car broke down when my eyes found her grand daughter Jessica Wood. I've seen Jessica at school but the guys always talk about wanting her so I've never let myself get close. Jessica has a special sense of kindness and companion ship about her that none of the other girls at lakeshore have, sure I've dated other girls but Jessica she's different. she's always willing to help someone out- "Earth to Justin!" my dad waves a hand in front of my face, "Huh? Oh sorry about that," I say quickly Jessica smiled ever so slightly. "Grams I'm going to the restroom I'm sure these gentlemen can take care of the rest," Jessica says turning around and walking to the restrooms.

"So what's the problem?" I ask "She's a Wood that's the problem son! You can't trust them damn good for nothing Woods!" Dad said slamming his hand down forcefully. "Nor can you forget that you're a Fleming's, I've told you the story bout them damn Woods don't make me tell it again." "I was referring to the car dad not Jessica," "Busted fuel pipe, I'll handle the car you get back to the house and help your mama out with super." "Yes sir." I say and leave the shop. I walk home in silence not saying anything until the house comes to view my little brother Lincoln greets me at the door, "Where's dad? He promised to help me," "Still at the shop Mrs. Woods car stopped working," "Serves them Woods right they deserve it and much more!" Even my little brother hates the Woods but Jessica Wood isn't like the others she's kind. I side pass Lincoln and walk into the living room my phone buzzes. A message from Jake.

J- where r u? I thought we were going to the party?

Me- that tonight? Sorry can't make it pissed dad off gotta stay in tonight.

J- damn how'd ya do it this time? Wait was it Jessica? Finally man up and tell him your in love with your family rival?

Me- what are you telepathic?

J- maybe I am :/ lol well I'm going to get back to the party see you at school?

"Justin will you set the table?" Moms voice calls/asks "Aye Aye caption!" I say and start setting the table for dinner.
