Life Again

The Next Beginning

     This is the end. But it's really my beginning! I just died. That may sound weird, but don't worry! It's a great thing! I'm learning how the world works. I get to live my life again!
Oh.. Sorry, you must be confused! See, we get to live our lives again. It's so much fun! We don't remember it, but it happens over and over again! Well, most of us don't. I'm one of the special ones that do!
Wanna hear my story? Pleaaaaaassseeee! I promise you'll love it! It's packed full of adventure, action, romance, tragedies, m- Oops! I'm getting too worked up. Anyway, it's great! I love life!
I can't wait to be born again! Life is so much fun! Sure, some parts are sad, but it's all worth it in the end! One time I lived to be 107! It was so much fun! Maybe this time I'll get to help Mommy live longer! Or maybe I'll get to know Daddy and warn him about the train.
Sorry! I keep changing the subject. I'm just so excited! Okay, so you know how babies sleep a lot and they move when they sleep? That's their entire lives. Their future. We're dreaming as children. We get sooo many chances to get our lives right. Once we do, we get to live it one last time. If we still do it right, we get to go to the Garden!
Oh, duh! You don't know what that is! It's Heaven! Well, that's what you call it before you get there. That's what people see when they take the final test. If they don't live their life right, they go back. Then they die and then they get another chance. A near-death experience. They get to remember it as incentive to do better! Everybody in the Garden is a good person. They wouldn't be there otherwise! Haha!
Oh, now I get to tell you my story! This will be my 537th life! Don't worry, that's a tiny number! Most people have to live thousands of times before they get their lives right! The smallest number EVER was 768! He spent forever in the Garden before he decided to help the rest of us get ready for our lives. You might have heard of him! His last name was Ghandi. I know I hear about him every time I live!
Ooh! I can hear Mommy! And Daddy! Oh, I missed their voices! I haven't heard them in years! They're telling me how much they love me! I wish you could hear! I can't wait to say it back! I hope I get to tell Daddy this time!

Oh! Sorry I slept so long! Being reborn takes a lot out of me! Oh! Oh! Oh! One more month! I'll get to be born again! I'm going to try real hard to smile instead of cry. The light just hurts my eyes so much! Ah, but it's worth it to see my family! Oh, my story! Well, I was blind this time because of an accident (not getting in THAT car again) and I walked off of a cliff. Oops. Haha!
I hope I get my life right this time. I love living, but I want to be in the Garden with Mommy and Daddy. Mommy will get to see my memories of graduation, my wedding, and what I grow up to be! Daddy will get to hear my voice!
Just one more month!

Today's the day! I can't wait! I'm going to do everything right this time! Maybe I'll learn how to talk sooner! Maybe I'll get to be an astronaut! Or a scientist! Maybe I'll be a vet! Life is so full of possibilities! Sorry for hurting you, Mommy! Thank you so much! I hope I get it right this time!
