The Wakening

Chapter 1

I woke up with a start...

I felt beneath me, dirt? I question as I sit up and look around. I was in a dark forest with three other people I didn't know laying on the ground also. Then they all started moving and I just sat there wide eyes looking like I had probably just saw a ghost. We all looked at each other then the one with blonde hair screamed.

"AHHHH." Looking startled.

"Where are we and who are you guys?" The other brunette besides me asked.

"I have no idea and I'm Albany the girl with the Carmel colored hair said.

"Kara" The brunette said.

"Madison." The blonde said.

I didn't say anything and they all looked at me anxiously.

"Uhm...I'm Alex." I said very awkwardly.

"Ok now that we know who everyone is does anyone remember anything on why we are here?"

"All I remember is going to bed." I said.

"Same." They all agreed.

I stood up and brushed myself off as the other girls did too.

It felt like it was -12 degrees here so I immediately wrapped my arms around me.

"It's so cold." Madison said.

I think she was probably the coldest because all she was wearing was an oversize t-shirt and some black house shoes.

The rest of us had more clothes on but it was still freezing.

"If we don't find some warmer clothes soon were going to get hypothermia." I said looking around for any signs of a building anywhere.

"Hey guys what are those over there?" Kara asked while pointing to what looked like four boxes with our names on them.

"Let's go see." I said with curiosity.

We all walked over to them and saw that the did in fact have our names on them. And there was one single note right before we got there that said.

'Open these this is your first clue'

"What if there's a bomb in them, i'm to young to die" Albany shouted.

"There's not a bomb in them I'm sure I mean who would put us out here if they were just gonna kill us immediately." Mission said.

We all looked at her like she was stupid.

"We'll probably lots of people but that's not the point." She said.

"Well I don't know about you guys buy YOLO." Kara said and opened hers.

Inside of it was a hand wrapped in a handkerchief. We all screamed and Kara dropped it.

"Uhm...why is there a hand?" Madison asked.

"I have no idea." Kara said with a confused look on her face.

"Ok guys so we all have to be here for the same reason I guess so let's all open ours and put the pieces together." Albany said walking towards hers.

When she opened it there was a note that said 'thought you could get rid of me? Well you were wrong'.

"Are you ok?" I question her.

She looked like she had just witnessed a murder or something and I saw a tear slip out of her eye but then she went back to normal I guess. Well that was really weird.

"I guess I will go next." Madison said.

When she opened hers there was a gun inside that was obviously fake.

"Why is there a fake gun?" I asked.

She just glared at me. I just ignored the look.

"Ok my turn." I said.

When I opened the box there was only on picture and that picture was the thing that made me realize why we were in this position right now. I lifted up the picture of the alien slowly and showed it to them.

"Guys I know why we are here..." I said.

They all looked at me expectantly.

"We are here because we committed a crime." I said.

And that's when fear flashed across all their faces and Albany and Madison fell to the floor sobbing. Me and Kara just looked at each other wondering what they did that was so bad and Kara looked scared and like she knew what she did but all we did was let it sink in...
