I sat there, looking at the burning house in shock. I couldn't believe what was happening. Everything happened so fast.. I slightly turned around looking for someone, anyone, who could give me the answers I needed.
'What would happen to us once the fire is out?'
'Where would we go?'
'How long would it take to fix everything?'
'Where were mom and dad?!'
'Would the firemen be able to get them out?'
'Would Aiden be ok?'
'Will they get Aiden out in time?'
Questions filled my mind as I cried with the mention of each one in my mind.
These same questions echoed over and over again.
I hear firemen yelling for help as they got two big bodies out of the fire.
"MOM! DAD!"
I ran over to the firemen carrying my parents as soon as I saw them coming out of the still burning house.
"Stay away, kid! Go where you're safe! Larry! Get her out of here! It's not safe! The fire's expanding!"
The fireman I assumed was Larry quickly responded to the orders given by the other fireman, which was the one in charge. He took me in his arms as I struggled and screamed to be near the house. I wanted to see that my little brother was gonna be ok. I wanted to see my parents.
I heard an explosion. I was quickly covered by the worse feeling of terror.
"AIDEN!"
I yelled as I got even more worried that they hadn't taken my brother out in time.
And I was right.

"Vianca..!"
I heard a voice from far away calling my name.
"Vianca.!"
It sounds so familiar..
"Vianca! Wake up!"
I bolted awake by shakes and multiple people calling my name.
"You were dreaming with it again?"
The voice which I now saw was my mother talked to me in a shaky and sad, but sweet voice. I shivered and cried in bed as my mother hugged me tightly.
"It's ok now, darling. It's just a nightmare.."
"..Yeah, but it was a nightmare that really happened.. It just keeps haunting me.."
I hugged my mom tightly as I cried on her shoulder.
"I know, dear.. You're not the only one.."
"Yeah sweetie.. You're not alone here. You have us."
My dad's words complemented my mom's hugs. It was really a blessing having them with me. But..
"M-Mom.."
"Yes, my dear..?"
"I miss Aiden.."
I felt a tear fall in my shoulder. I instantly knew that was my mom.
"I-I know darling.. But, you know he's up there somewhere, having fun perhaps.."
I should get over this, I know. But.. It's still too hard for me to forget everything that happened that night, two years ago. And, how that night, I lost my best friend, my brother Aiden. My parents kissed my forehead as they left the room. As they closed the door, I got up and went over to the closet. I opened it, and bend down a little. I grabbed what I was looking for and went back to bed. Possibly one of the most precious objects I posess even today. It was Aiden's favorite plushie, Misa the dragon. I hugged it tightly as I went back to sleep.
But what will happen next, is something that I never imagined would happen.
