How did it pass so fast?
Aren't special days to last forever?
Perhaps it wants to live in my heart
Perhaps it'll return in another cycle
You never know with precious days, do you?
But many times I've asked
Is one day too short?
Reality tells me yes
Though I wish it lasted longer
Heaven knows it was cherished
Dining and wining with you
All around the city
Yelling 'The best day of the year' at the top of my lungs
But I've never had this much fun with anyone
Am I saying that just to make you happy?
Boo, I'd never lie to you
You're the best thing that's ever happened to me.
