Juliet grabbed my arm in fear. I tried not to show fear.
"Rain why? Why didn't you tell me about your mother cheating on me?" He asked. I frowned.
"How did you find out?" I asked. He snorted.
"When your mom started having girls night out I followed her. When I asked her about it. She said you know about it to. So instead of killing my wife. I will kill you and take my wife back. That's the good thing about women. They break so easily" He stated. I grabbed Juliet and managed to send us both around the corner behind us into the kitchen. I pointed to the window. Juliet stripped her heels off faster than a tornado and hopped on top the sink and started to unlock the window. I heard footsteps. I stripped my jacket and threw it around the corner where bullets rang out until I heard clicking.
"Son of a bitch" My dad snapped. Juliet opened the window and climbed out. I followed after her. Which was a tight fit. I dragged her down the fire escape. Once we reached the ground we got to the car and I got into the driver seat and drove. After I evened my breathing I was able to talk.
"Juliet find my phone" I stated. She then began crawling around the car looking for it. She found it in the glove box. I hit speed dial as we turned onto the highway. But it just kept ringing and ringing. We were about a hour and a half away from where Matt and my parents live. Every five minutes I dialed Matts number. Finally after eight tries he picked up.
"God damn what the hell do you want" He asked.
"Matt shut the hell up and listen. We will be at your place in about forty minutes. I need a change of clothes" I stated. He groaned.
"Rain I'm at my girlfriends place right now" He stated.
"Matt my father just tried to shoot me. Now do as I say" I snapped.
"He what" He asked.
"You heard me. My father almost shot me" I stated. He groaned.
"Be there in ten but don't blame me if I bring one of my girlfriends pair of clothes" He stated.
"Just get me some damn clothes" I snapped. He hung up. I sighed.
"Matt? Who's he?" She asked.
"A close friend of mine from high school" I stated. She bit her lip. I sighed.
"Juliet I'm so confused now.. We were only doing this for a healthy future" I stated.
"Rain I think we should go our separate ways" Juliet stated.
"I agree but still. Can we be friends?" I asked. She giggled.
"Of course" She stated. I sighed.
"Um you can take the ring and sell it for money" I stated. She smiled.
"Thank you so much Rain. Your a good person" She stated. I ran a hand through my hair. Once we reached Matts house we hurried inside after parking the car into his garage that is. Matt sat with a girl on his lap sucking her face. Her hair was red with pink highlights.
"I don't know if I should be disgusted or embarrassed" I stated. The girl pulled away and fell onto the couch blushing. Matt smirked.
"Clothes are in the bathroom hot shot" Matt stated. I went to the bathroom. I hurried out of the clothes. Matt had even gotten me tennis shoes. I walked out ruffling my hair wearing black skinny jeans that were a little to tight and a red t-shirt. I also held the bandage in my hand making my chest show off a little.
"Much better" I stated. I tossed the clothes onto the arm of the chair.
"Wait your really a girl?" Matts girlfriend asked.
"Yeah and you can't tell no one" I stated. She blushed.
"Matty you havn't had sex with either of them have you" She asked pleading with her eyes.
"Baby the closest I've gotten to Rain was sharing a cigarette in high school" He stated.
"Smoking's bad for you" Juliet stated.
"So is getting shot at" I pointed out laughing. Matt smirked.
"What are you gonna do about it?" He asked.
"Sell my apartment use the money to move. It'll last me a few years. Specially if I take the money out of the bank" I stated. He nodded.
"And I'm gonna go to college" I stated. Matt smiled.
"Very smart" He stated. I chuckled and threw a shoe at him which he caught.
"I have to contact my mom though, Havn't spoken to her in a long time" I stated. I walked over to the phone. I dialed her cell phone.
"Hello" She asked tiredly.
"Hey mom its Rain" I stated.
"Rain oh god are you alright baby" She asked.
"Um yeah. Are you still with that one guy?" I asked.
"Pete yes" She stated.
"You guys need to hide. Dad tried to shoot me so you would go back to him. I will be going into hiding to so no worrying about me. I'll find a way to stop dad okay. Just take Pete and leave" I stated.
"I understand Rain. Contact me as soon as possible" She stated.
"Love you mom" I stated. We hung up.
