(18+ may bring up bad memories. Also I won't tell you what it is, but some of my real past will be hidden with in this story.)

Days, weeks and years all seem to blend together when you have been on the street for as long as I have. I am 16 now I think, but I know for a fact that I ran away when I was only 6. After mom killed herself my father lost it. He began to use meth and other dangerous drugs. I remember the day I took off, as if it was yesterday. My father had invited this scary looking man over. He wore a suit and had his hair slicked back. I never got to see his eyes, due to the sunglasses he was wearing. I remember dad telling the man he did not have money for the drugs but he did have something that he would like. He then grabbed my arm roughly and pulled me from my hiding spot. I said nothing as the man stared at me with that creepy smile upon his face. I tried to wiggal my way out of my fathers arms but failed. As I stayed in his tight hold I felt more and more paniced as I waited to see what would happen. After what seemed like forever 2 young twin men enterd. My father than relesed me from his grip. I fell to the floor as I begain to cry. The two twins grabed my hair and took me to another room. One hit me in the head with I hard object causing me to pass out. When I woke up my wrist and ankles were tide to the tables legs. All of the sudden a sharp pain began in my lower area. As I looked down I noticed I was naked. My body was coverd in bruses and cuts. As I kept looking I noticed a large amount of blood in between my leggs. I begain crying so hard that I pnce again passed out. When I woke again I was no longer tied I was in my bed in a t-shirt and shorts. I managed to get up ignoring the pain as I ran out of the house. I continued to run until I collapsed from exhaustion.

As I sat in the cardboard box, located in the alley which I had come to call home, I tried to push the memories away. I couldn't bear to relive that horrid day. If I've learned anything from being homeless and thrown away, it's that I learned how to shut off my emotions when needed. Which as it so happens was a good thing, since being alone with one's thoughts and memories every day and night with no form of human contact tends to make you depressed. I have not spoken a single word for nearly 10 full years. On that horrid day in fact, I stopped talking all together.

Today was no different from the others. As I woke up in my box, I stepped outside to breathe in the musky morning air. The sun was shinning and people walked by me as if I was invisible, but almost immediately I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. It was a small black kitten, crying as it attempted to climb a trash can. I smiled and walked over to him. As I looked through the trash, my eye caught the remains of a half eaten fish. There was only a small amount of fish. As I went to grab it the kitten began climbing up my leg. I laughed for the first time in what seemed like forever. I picked the kitten off my leg and held it as I fed it the fish I had found. Yes, my stomach was quite famished since it had been 3 weeks since my last meal. However this kitten could had a good life ahead for all I knew. I then walked back to my little makeshift home with the kitten still in my arms. As I crawled inside, the kitten began purring and soon afterwards fell asleep. It was a joyous that I could at least make this little guy feel better. I looked at the kitten and wondered what gender it was, so being careful not to disturb him I took a peek. The kitten it turns out was not bothered at all by my actions but instead curled up as close as he possibly could. I had to name this little guy something I told myself. After a few minutes I found the perfect name, Monkey. I smiled at Monkey sleeping in my arms. He looked so peaceful. I then decided that maybe I should try and sleep off the hunger pain in my stomach. Soon I dozed off with Monkey nuzzled in my arms.

When I finally woke up I looked outside to find that it was dark out. The stars where hidden behind the dark clouds. Something didn't feel right, so I stayed quiet and listened. Hours passed uneventful, but I stayed unmoving. Soon I heard 2 voices approaching as they neared my home. I gulped in fear of what was going to happen if they saw a young girl out this late at night. I remained completely still and turned all my emotions off, continuing to listen as they drew nearer. I could hear heavy breathing and moans that seemed to come from a man. I also heard softer moans which sounded oddly as if a man was trying to fake a woman's voice. As I listened, I grew unsure of what was happening. One minute they are moaning and the next thing I know, there was a blood curdling scream. I remained emotionally dead as a corpse as something hot splattered all over me. I could hear what sounded like gurgling as if though someone was drowning in their own blood. That was accompanied with a high pitch moan. As I tried to see what was happening, I noticed what appeared to be a woman... No wait it appeared to be a man dressed as a woman. It looked as if he was depraving the corpse. I could care less. I just curled back up into a ball and fell back into a restless slumber.

The next morning I awoke to Monkey licking my face. I petted his little head and earned a small meow in return. I knew he was hungry. So I slowly got out of my box and looked around. A few feet away there appeared to be what looked like a crimson puddle. I just assumed that it was from what happened last night. I decided that it was time for a change of scenery. As such I gathered my box and monkey curled up into my arms. Together we both set out to look for a new home. We didn't travel far as I decided to settle at the other entrance to the alley. After setting up my box in the new spot, I began walking to the trashcans that were right outside the alley. As I looked around, I came across something that looked somewhat edible. I didn't know what it was but I could see it was half eaten. I soon realized it was some sort of bread and brought it over to the box where Monkey sat waiting. I gave him half and we both ate together. I could only eat 3 bites as I had to save some for later. As Monkey ate I looked out at the people walking by. As I watched I noticed 2 young men. They looked very wealthy and powerful. I looked away and looked at Monkey in my lap eating happily. I began petting Monkey as I started to feel eyes burning into my skin. I looked up slowly to see the 2 men I had seen earlier. One had an eye patch covering his right eye and his other eye was deep blue. He was slim and had a stern face. The other man was tall with, beautiful red eyes. I could not help but grow nervous when I saw the red eyed man smirk. I curled into a small ball with Monkey trying to protect him. I didn't care what happened to me as long as he was safe. I squeezed my eyes shut not wanting to see what was going to happen. I heard some whispering, then foot steps coming toward my box. I tried to turn off my emotions but it didn't work. The fear was killing me. Then I herd a deep voice speak. "Hello, I am sorry to interrupt your morning but I must ask you some questions." I stayed silent as he spoke again. "you see you are covered in blood splatter and so is your "home". How did it get there? I lifted my arm and pointed down the alley to where I had been before. I then opened my eyes to see who was talking to me. I was nun-other than the man with red eyes. The man with the eye patch walked to where I was pointing. Monkey than began to stir around in my arms and wiggled out. The red eyed man looked surprised. I kept looking between the two men. I didn't want anything to happened do to the fear that I'm to weak to fight them off. I pulled monkey back into my arms as the man with the eye patch came aback and said smoothing to the red eyes man. The red eyed man smiled and looked at me and spoke again. "I see. Did you do it?" I shook my head in response. "Did you happen to see who did it?" My heart be gain pounding now that the red eyed man was to close to my face. I nodded as I started to feel my world go black.
