Chapter 1

Hinata

Kageyama and I walk slowly and quietly through the suburbs. Practice was extra hard today and we are exhausted. Dachi-san made was practice our new floating toss quick for hours. It was horriable and my muscles scream with every step. I glance over at Kageyama and he looks about as good as I do. Which is to say horrible. Suddenly Kageyama clears his throat and addresses me with a sleepy voice.

"You have a long walk don't you?"

"I don't know, I guess another 30 mins..." I replied curious about the sudden question. He had never seemed to care before.

"Well...uhhhh...if you want you can...uhhh stay over at my place...if you want" He said, sounding less and less sure of himself as he spoke.

My head perked up and I gave him my signature smile to show that I appreciated it. "Sure! That sounds awesome! I don't know if i could of made it home. I might've passed out on the way." I laughed. "Just let me call my mum quickly to let her know. Do you need to call yours?" I spoke so fast I barely understood what I was saying. Kageyama shook his head no.

"My parents are away for a week or so...is that alright?" He looked nervous. As if I was going to reject his offer and walk another 30 mins by myself! Outrageous!

"Totally, totally. All is okay! That just means we can PARTY all night...well thats if we don't fall asleep as soon as we get in! Give me one sec to call my mom." He nodded and looked away. The dusk light looked nice with is raven hair.

"Hello? Hinata? Is that you?" A womens voice rang through the phone so loud that even Kageyama could hear it.

"Yes mom its me. You know you don't need to talk so loud. I can hear you just fine"

"Oh silly me" she chimed. "Aren't you coming home? You should be here by now."

"Sorry Mom, practice ran late and I'm really wiped out. I was wondering if i could just stay the night at Kageyama's house. Its much closer."

"Hummmm... Okay just keep in touch with me and I guess I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay thank you Mom!" Very thankful that she said yes. Oh it would of been so embarrassing for her to of said no.

"Love you sweety. Goodnight"

"Nite Mom" I hang up the phone and turn to Kageyama. He's focusing on the road in front of him. "Are we close?"

"Yeah. Right around the block" he replied roughly.

"Mmmmm kay." I draw out.

We arrived 2 mins later to a nice modern looking house. By the looks of it, it was the nicest on the street.

"Not too shabby Kags" I say having a look around the foray. He nodded and motioned for me to follow.

"You can stay in the spare down the hall if you want or you can sleep on ground in mine. " he said

I pretended to deliberate in my head but my mind had been made up as soon as he said it. I didn't want to sleep in the guest bedroom. I'd rather be near him. You know in a friendly kinda way...right?
"I'll sleep on the ground" I did smiling brightly. At this point I was so tired I feel asleep as soon as Kageyama pulled the floor mat out for me. I didn't even look at his room.
