"Somewhere like for ice cream?" I grin. "I'm serious," he chuckles. "I am too. And what if you're busy? I don't want to ruin your night with your friends," I frown. "I see my friends all the time," he shrugs. I nod with a defeated breath.

"Fine. But can we get ice cream after even if things don't go south?" I meet his blue eyes for the first time since being corned by the bathroom. His pink lips turn up in a lopsided smile. "Sure." I can't help but smile back at him, biting my lip.

"Your girlfriend seems nice," I breathe when the air around us wears thin. "Y-yeah, she's erm, she's great," he agrees, taking a deep breath. "Michael's meeting us there," Ashton walks past us with a mere glance. I clear my throat and we both step away from each other not realizing how close we'd gotten.

"Michael's meeting us there," I echo Ashton with a raise of my brows. "Michael's meeting us there," Luke repeats with a nod.

Definitely not awkward.

As soon as we pull up to the house the party is being thrown at I can instantly tell this isn't going to be like Joe's at all. The house was fairly big and hidden in the fancy hills of Los Angeles.

Ashton and Calum are raving about how fun this is going to be and how they have to introduce me and Haley to everyone because they're going to love us. I can already feel the uneasiness in the pit of my stomach as we make our way up the driveway.

Luke sends me a comforting look just before the front door opens and the first one of their friends is being introduced by Calum.

There's only a couple people when we first get there but that's apparently only because it's a sort of pre-game get together. Everyone catching up and having drinks and within the hour the backyard is littered with way more people. I don't think they know all of them and if they do they don't bother introducing us.

The backyard is huge. Big enough to have a pool and full on grilling area and still have enough room for all these people to stand and sit and hang out.

It was beautiful. Definitely potential house goals some day. I watch amusingly as everyone drunk off their asses sing along to songs and generally just love on each other. As many as there was they all seemed very close. Which was oddly like a breath of fresh air.

I was out of my element here. Parties are a rare thing let alone parties full of people I don't know. Haley was the opposite. She lived for things like this. She's always loved getting lost in a crowd and being someone else for the night.

So needless to say she fit right in. Somewhere in the crowd of people drunk and happy. I'd be surprised if she wasn't already at least beginning to find her latest victim of the night.

I catch Luke's eye a few times throughout the night and each time he sends me a look that says is it happening? Do we need to go get ice cream? And each time I send him a smile and shake my head.

Now though, now he's moving his lanky limbs, dancing terribly and singing along to the song on the stereo. My heart nearly beats out of my chest as I watch his beaming smile light up the whole night sky. Then he's pulling his girlfriend in for a giggly kiss and my beating heart frails miserably.

"Hey, what are you doing all alone over here?" One of their friends comes up and sits by me. I don't remember his name and I feel slightly guilty for it. "Oh, just watching. Parties aren't really my thing," I reply, taking a sip of my drink.

Now that I think about it, I don't even remember what was in the cup. Just that Michael left me with it ages ago. Maybe I was a bit more buzzed than I thought I was. "Not your thing? Parties are everybody's thing!" The boy announces lighthearted. I giggle and blame the alcohol.
